possible survivors of Istvaan 3?

I know this may be a step back in the thread, about surviving marines, but I had a thought I'll throw it into the meat grinder.

I doubt many marines would of survived the bombardment, and those that did would have no way of contacting Rylanor, if he was indeed inside that hangar and safe, and taking into account about how long a marine can survive.

But what about Rylanor himself? Bjorn the Fell-Handed has been around since the heresy, although he did indeed have a chapter's worth of resources to repair and sustain his systems. But if his systems were able to function for long enough without outside aid, could he of escaped, or even still be there, if he was able to go into that long, stasis-like sleep all dreadnoughts go into?

Just seemed that everyone missed the fact that dreadnoughts 'live' alot longer than marines, and may not require the same things. Rylanor may only need a power supply, rather than fresh nourishment.
