Modelling: Discs of Tzeentch

Recommended Posts

As a regular Chaos player, and because I don´t like the Gw ones, I do my own Discs of the Lord of Change.

You will need:

* epoxy putty (Greenstuff; Milliput...)

* 2 sculpting tools (see picture)

* 1 big flyer base

* Plasticard

* one 40 mm base

* a brush (cheap one)

* wire

* hobby knife and drill

* Chaos Spawn bits (Tyranid bits are also good for this)

Tutorial:

1) Start by glueing five Chaos Spawn spines to the edges of the round part of the large flying base.

2) Cover the round side with epoxy putty and use the bladed sculpting tool to do the lines and the pointy one to do the holes. When you finish, smooth it down a bit with the watered brush. CAUTION: Never use a good brush for this, it will ruin it.

You will get something like this:

Leave it to dry overnight

3) Cut in plasticard an icon of Tzeentch.

4) Glue it to the flat part of the base.

5) If you want to take on more step, you can sculpt over the icon screaming faces, tentacles..., like the symbols in the Chaos Daemons Codex

6) Now,do the basing in the 40 mm base like the rest of your army.

7) Pin a wire in the base and glue it in the center of the disc and voila, a cool model

It has been added to the hallowed halls :) Linky! Just hit the Edit button at the bottom of the page to make any changes. It would also be a great bonus if you had a picture of one of your models on a completed disc.

Thanks,

Sig
