Chaos super heavy?

Recommended Posts

My fellow gamers have been wanting to get a super heavy for their respective armies and have been pressuring me to get one as well. Now I have to admit I have that "itch" to get one as this "itch" is getting stronger :( So i have decided to relent and treat myself to the unit in question after my exams.

Wait for it...

...here come the problem...

Which super heavy? There are soooo many for Chaos and I have nearly finished my armylist which i am determine to finish before buying anthing else. Take in mind i'm Undivided, and that i am unwilling to pay out for something such as a warhound. However I am eyeing up a baneblade that will use the whole Fellblade idea. How does this sound? Sugguestions? How do they play ETC

Thanks for any and all help :D

I've used the silver towers and it works great, and is a scratch build, same goes for a plague tower.

Zombies with the tallyman works good as does a flank marching spined beasts with the mark of nurgle. With the tallyman around he'll hit on 3's.

A subjugater is cheap and it stomps, also scratch built

A nice trick i've been using is to make a fortress and put a Supreme HQ in it so the havoks on the wall are fealess, have night vision and tank hunters, add some a-a guns to it and plunk it on an objective. Then laugh and laugh. If only you could strategicly deploy it.....

I'd say scratch build and go for one of the fun datasheets online on the GW site.

If you REALLY want one or more of the FW models (and who doesn't!), I'd personally make it one of the Macharius tanks.

I'll take two of the Vulcans, and one of the twin Vanquisher cannons!

Cheers,

Lawrence.

Cheers for the swift feedback guys, been a great help! Now it has narrowed down a bit I have decided to go with a baneblade variant. So far still undecided in that department since I do not directly know anyone who uses a baneblade, however since a few of you have recommended the Hellhammer variant that seems to be my top choice. One question has arisen so far: in WD the hellhammer was seen with heavy flamer sponsons, personally I would prefer having h.bolter sponsons, is this possible? Having a Chaos Hellhammer with h.bolter sponsons? What does everyone think? Thanks once again! Any more comments are welcome!

Hellhammer rocks however if your going down this path and have an extra 25 squid (or however many dollers depending on your location.) I would suggest you order from Forge World the storm blade (I think its the stormblade I always get them confused.) Anyway basically it has a bigger Hellhammer cannon that uses the bigger template meaning it brings much more death... In addition to this fact it is also different from everyone elses baneblades... so its like wow you guys all have pretty nice baneblades/hellhammers... What ya think about my Stormblade?

The other option is the ShadowSword from forge world which is specifically Anti-super-heavy if you want to ruin your friends new super heavies XD. but yer FW have made some ace plastic baneblade conversion kits.
