I'm really happy that all 171 pieces are there and there is no major warpage/defect!

  • 2 weeks later...

get yourself some automotive primer. practise on a few spare bits of resin (i'm sure with a kit this size, you have a few spares :P). automotive primer adheres much better to resin. but before all of that clean it once, twice and three times in warm soapy water.

just my two cents worth. i would hate to see such an awesome model to suffer from primer peel....

good luck ;)

Well, one leg almost done. The going is very slow. First of all, I've been at work about 50 hours week, lately. Plus I've got an 8 months old who just loves to wake up 5-6 times every night. She just loses her pacifier and can't seem to find it... So I'm usually off to bed around 22h00, thus losing my nightly modeling hour. Oh well, anyways, here's my first leg (almost) done. A few pistons here and there and I'm on to the next one! I'll be using the same scheme as my Warhound. Mainly black with brazen brass trimmings. Curvy armor plate will be deep red. Some accents here and there. I'm not going for a golden demon quality. It's not anywhere near my skills! I'll be happy with a very good table top quality. After all, it'll be a gaming model more than anything else!
