ranman8
I have been away for a few years now making a pilgrimage of sorts through other games and game systems, all the while checking in on the B&C and other marine sites to see whats going on. Well im back newly infused (infested you may say) with ideas and dreams. So with this im going to start a new DG army with all the tweekings, with first a few pics of the old stuff to see where i came from and where i hope to go... first my old Deamon Prince (i may keep him and just repaint) next my flag bearers Asp Champ and my dread (repainting) a few WIP that were never finished and a new start.... :) let me know what you think, more to come.... ranman8
Thanks for the C&C! Update! i am working with trying out a new way to make my "bellies" on my marines, im thinking i may go more bloated and less decayed, but you tell me! Plus the begining of my first termie champ, i want him to have that "YOU" look, so i repositioned the hand a bit, does it look natural or creepy bent? keep the comments coming, always looking for a good idea! I'm not a big fan of 'gut bags' myself, but as far as gut bags go, these are pretty good. Matador
The one on the right makes me thin "bile" while the one on the left I think more "putrid rotting flesh/armor" And I definitely like the idea of the Champ's hose going from gut to mouth...DIS-gusting!!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/137389-my-deathguard-experience/#findComment-1656678 Share on other sites
nurglephill
i think the one on the left has the right idea simply because with it all one colour nothing stands out and you lose all the detail and all the effort you put into them. but it too doesnt look right. you have to decide, are the extended guts extende armour? if yes paint them the same as the armour, if they are flesh paint them flesh. etc etc. i think you should treat them as armour, but i think you need at least one other colour in there to bring deffinition to the details. but having said all that. your models are awsome! phill Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/137389-my-deathguard-experience/#findComment-1657336 Share on other sites

ShinyRhino
Indeed, the GS work and painting on these guys is great. However, as someone mentioned, you've got a lot of rotten bellies in this army so far. Every WIP you've shown us in this thread has a bag of intestines flopping around his waist. I'd recommend varying the location of the Marines' rot. Maybe one has an arm off, with long tendirls of veinous gore sagging out of the stump. Maybe another has a huge, mutated eyeball dwarfing the other side of his face. You skills are great, but branch out beyond the gutbags.
