Circus Nurgling
I've always been a fan of that flying rhino art. Great conversion! Probably my favorite of the lot (oddly enough). Good luck on that Spartan! Where did you get the flame-pots for your old Land Raider? I'm wanting to put some gothic-style lamps on my Land Raider... Kaleb Daark
The pots ont he Spartan are from the WHFB Vampire Count's Corpse cart. I personnaly had to recut the skulls in the flammes so they look like simple coal, but depending on what you what you want, you might not have to ( lucky boy  ). Those that were on the old MkIIb are from the WHFB Bretonnian archers, mounted on old OOP citadel daleks figures. Hope that helps Anyone should have other questions feel free to ask! Kaleb Daark
This was not originally part of my army list, But I had the parts, no time for proper painting, not really FluFF accurate but it's still a GK codex option (which I'm using ). So 3 good reasons ot of four.... Let's play! http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1074.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1076.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1078.jpg For my Paladins squad, a little apothecary. Kaleb Daark
Well last week's been a bit quieter so there's been a little painting: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1093.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1097.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1098.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1099.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1100.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1101.jpg Which now brings me to 2 fully painted squad (1 of seven, 1 ou five) . http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1103.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1104.jpg With the remainning terminator painted the Palandin squad is fully painted except for the free hand on the banner which I just can't find the courage to get on with... http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1092.jpg I must say i'm kinda proud of how it looks. Now, I've been talking of a count as space marine part for this army which though it's the oldest part of this project, it's never been posted . Not a problem since it's going through some major changes. The original army was completely based on Dave Taylor's army (My sincerest thanks to him)with a lot of different regular marine power armors. I decided to get a little closer to some artworks.... That's what I hope at least..... To that intent I ordered quite a lot of bits; evrything arrived yesterday; here's how it looked: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1089.jpg I now have enough to complete/redo both my tacticals, devastor and terminators squads. Might have enough to complte the Ghosht Knights too. I didn't sleep a lot but here are what I came with: The 2 remaining Assault Terminators http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1108.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1109.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1110.jpg Full squad http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1118.jpg Tactical squad 1 http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1125.jpg Tactical squad 2 http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1126.jpg And the devastator squad. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1123.jpg PFFEEWWH ! It was long! And on the count-as Grey Knights' side; This is my intrepretation of Mickaelor Corbernus (which will be used as count as Castellan Crowe) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1114.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1115.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1116.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1117.jpg There's problably gonna be a squad of purificators to go with him... I first was going to use the Phenix Guard Champion's Helmet but I prefer keeping 'em for a count as SM Honor Guard I Have In mind. Finally a litlle Objective marker http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1112.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1113.jpg The original Idea is a very private joke with a close buddy of mine wich wouldbe too long to explain. Let's just say It's a n Iterator trying to save some precious books...

Peredyne
The counts as Crowe is amazing, but I'm honestly more interested in the parts make up of the Iterator.
Kaleb Daark
but I'm honestly more interested in the parts make up of the Iterator. It's quite simple actually I just took the WHFB Empire Celestial Hurricanum 's accolyte added some GK terminator books, some thin copper wire and that's it ( in this case I added hairs and goatie). Kaleb Daark
Yellow! Last two weeks were kinda booked so little painting but quite a bit of converting. Now I prepared a tutorial about my terminators, though the Upcoming FW Cataphratcs definitely put them to shame.... Nevertheless it can give some some ideas... What you need: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1163redux.jpg 01 GK paladin Head 02 SM terminator Torso 03 SM terminator legs 04 WHFB bretonnian knight head 05 WHFB Empire horse tail 06 SM sgt banner (the one with the aquilla) 07 SM terminator arm with stormbolter 08 SM assault terminator arm with thunderhammer 09 WHFB High Elves Spearmen spear 10 WHFB High Elves Silver Helms Lance 11 GK Terminator Hallberd 12 WHFB Tomb Kings standard ( x2) 13 Orks Boyz shoulder pads (without the spikes) (x2) 14 SM shoulder pads (x2) 15 SM Tank Aquilla Icon 16 WHFB bretonnian knight small shield (x2) 17 SM terminator arm with power fist 18 SM commander roman tabard Ok As you'll see there are other bits possible ( as for 04; there are other knight heads with griffins, pegasus,... or for 18 I also used the tabards from Avil Industries); choose what you prefer here. Let's play! The more boring first: let's begin with Shoulder pads http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1165.jpg With the Tomb Kings Standards (12) cut off the skull and other pendants. then glue the Orks boyz shoulder pads (13) onto. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1168.jpg Cut off the borders of the SM shoulder pads(14) . http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1169.jpg Now glue the SM shoulder pads . You'll certainly have to file it a little in order to get it cleanned up. As you can see I work with Top Technological Tools :( . http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1170.jpg And cut oof the wings from the SM tank Icon (15) and glue them on the shoulder pads' sides. Then the "Custodian Hallberd" http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1171.jpg Cut off the thunderhammer (08) as pictured . Cut off the Silver Helm lance (10) as pictured. Glue them together. I would suggest to pin them, just to be sure .... http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1172.jpg Just keep the storm Bolter from (07). Keep the GK terminator blade (11). And keep the tip of the High Elf spear (09) ( more or less 4mm long). Glue all of this As pictured. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1173.jpg Glue this "upgraded stormbolter on the lance (pin again) OPTIONNAL Some you might wanna add alittle more detail; so get some WHFB Dwarf crossbows; cut off the trigger and glue it just over the hand or where it should be (like on this example): http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1228-1.jpg From now on it's much simpler Torso http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1175.jpg Cut off the bretonnian knight's crest (04) Then glue the crest onto the terminator torso ( 02) . And onto that crest glue the Horse tail (05) . Pinning is still a good idea. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1176.jpg Glue the shoulder pads on the torso( without the skull they will fit perfectly). http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1178.jpg Glue this on the terminator legs (03). Then add the tabard (18) (here from anvil industries). Cut off the eagle from the banner (06) then glue it "beltbuckle" style (Some filing required to make it fit). Place the small bretonnian shields (16) as "kneepads. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1179.jpg Now in order to adapt the arms you'll have to reduce the shouler joint about half. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/Tuto%20Terminator/DSCN1180.jpg Get the arms in place... Et Voilà! Now that the Cataphracts are nearly out, seems a little pointless, but .... As tha army goes Another terminator squad was built (ewhile preparing the tutorial) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1222.jpg Execpt these have storm bolters from FW tartaros's. Sergant became a lefty using the Culln arm and the left powerfist from the tartaros. Cables were exchanged with Dragonforge's powercables . I also got almost the count as sternguard squad done http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1225.jpg Two are missing storm bolters, Two left to be converted. The paint scheme will be the one you can "guess" on the sergeant, inspired from the last Adrian Smith's Horus vs Emperor artwork . The objective marker wasn't 40k enough so I added the scribe servoskull Klément-1992G . http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1226.jpg I also started painting the Spartan http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1218.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1219.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1220.jpg Its very much PIP but you can get a better idea . Finishing with my small paintjob of last week. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1230.jpg One more finished, another almost done, one left to do That's All Folks JuJu Kaleb Daark

And.... more than 5 years later I finnaly found the courage to get the Terminator's Banner Freehand DONE with http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1285-1.jpg and without the flash http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1286-1.jpg I'm quite familiar with myself so I know I'll certainly make some adjustments here and there, but I must say I consider it my best achivement yet. Kaleb Daark
Got some time last WE so I went on modifying and painting, most of it was just base coating, so here's the most "interesting" Sternguard SGT http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h113/kalebdaark/Custodes/DSCN1336.jpg Had his sword replaced with the much shorter and better looking Calgar's standard bearer sword. Circus Nurgling
Very well themed, coherent force for something as abstract as a custodean force.
