HQ's how many?

Recommended Posts

I take two, only because so much time been spent converting and painting them (about 10hrs straight, each for a long weekend).

Lord Cythkaras 'n Chekha

Mark of Nurgle, Terminator Armour, Combi-Melta, Plaguebringer

Not the most "efficient", but he's plenty killy, and he can also take down massive targets without breaking a sweat (wraithlords, talosi, vehicles)

Sorcerer Ryiix the Pustulent

Mark of Nurgle, Wings, Familiar, Nurgle's Rot, Wind of Chaos

Just how I used to field him in the previous book, -1W, -1S, +Force Weapon

Cheers,

Lawrence.

Only one. All HQ's are decidedly expensive for their limited effect on the table. At least in my eyes. It is a point of amusement that a greater daemon has become the cheapest HQ choice available.

Which is precisely why at 1500 points if I field a second HQ it's a GGD.

Depends. I've a Slaanesh-biased army list for 1500 points that takes two - a Sorcerer with Wings, the Lash and a personal Icon, and a Generic Greater Daemon (it's a Keeper of Secrets which is quite well painted, for me, so it wants to be used). My Tzeentch army (currently capping out at about 1000) has a single Daemon Prince with Bolt of Change. Bigger games would probably see all three turning up, and I might feel compelled to do a Terminator Lord at some stage or another. But only Might.
