Weiss
Garro's newfound piousness (and the fact that he is sensitive to the warp) lend themselves to him being the first Grey Knight quite well. Also, the new SM codex mentions that the Grey Knights are one of the first chapters to be created during the second founding. Garro, Qurze and any latent psykers amongst Garro's command could have been the first true Grey Knights, with the non-psyker members turning to training new recruits? I find the idea of the GK being of "Emperor Geneseed" an utterly laughable concept. The Primarchs were effectively genetic repositories for their Legions gene-seed, and they were designed with this in mind. I doubt the Anatolian shamans 34,000 years earlier were thinking about acid-spitting superhumans being made from their own genetic data when they amalgamated themselves into the Emperor... (if that piece of fluff even still stands...). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/138296-post-eisenstein/page/2/#findComment-1697285 Share on other sites
Grand Master Tyrak
The artwork on the book cover shows DG and IF fighting a Great Unclean One - something that doesn't happen in the book. Maybe this means Garro & Co. will reappear in the Siege of Terra.
