Inquisitor Maus
ok, so i play by the last choas codex (the one before the newest) becaise i have a pure WE army set up and i like them in the older codex a lot more than the newer one, the people i play with dont care so... im not sure if that really matters for this question, but it may so...Anyway, i have a daemon prince at the head of my army and one of the guys i play with runs daemonhunters. Now, i cant find a place in the codex that says either or, but is a daemon prince considered a daemon in terms of the daemonhunters powers against daemons? I cant find anything in the choas codex that says he is or isnt considered a daemon so im not sure, cause i can see how he can be considered one and then how you could say he isnt. I know my friend's powers for making it harder to keep daemons on the board like banishment and such wont work on him because the prince doesnt use those so im just curious as to whether stuff like the power where no daemon can come within three inches of a guy, and the grimour of true names would be something that works against my prince. thank ya Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/138505-daemon-prince-question/ Share on other sites
Lady_Canoness
p. 20 of the Daemonhunter Codex defines what are considered 'daemons'. For we chaos players that means summoned Daemons, Greater Daemons, Possessed, and Daemon Princes (so long as they have Daemonic stature, or have more than 50pts worth of Daemonic gifts by the older CSM codex.) chillin
As the ladt sz, a DP in the old dex, whether by having D. stature or by pts cost, is a daemon as far as D. hunters are concerned. As you pointed out he is not summoned as is not "unstable", so some of their (D. hunters) special powers will not wk on him, but others will.
