Does anyone have a good idea for sculpting chain mail? it's proving tricky :D

for chainmale i would flatten some greenstuff out so it get quite thin and then make very small holes in it and alot of them so there realy almost isnt any space between the holes, use 2 difrent size of holes but mostly the small ones, you could use a needle and a toothpick. if you want to do it layers over layers instead of just a big piece remember to start from lowest and then make more up and up setting a new piece of green stuff on so it overlaps the one below,

Excellent work on the DP so far Kek. For me one of the big things that could improve things is the face itself. It seems to tell me "Great big lumbering oaf with extra arm!" Might I suggest greenstuffing some of the square teeth into needle like fangs and perhaps add a bionic lens for the closed eye.

 

I think as mentioned addinglarge shulderpads and back pack will help concrete the 40K feel to it. Also, don't forget to add the mark of Nurgle on him. :P

 

Keep it up and bring it in next Wednesday evening.

I'm liking it so far

I'm not so sure on the power armour route though

surley there are just some badass deamons out there that arn't your lesser deamons

or the greater varitey

 

if its for a CSM army then go more future tech

if its fro Chaos deamons then don't worry about it

 

and seeing as its nurgle

you need a hellofalot of nurglings!!!!!!!!

I want him to be in my 40k army but i don't want to go ott on the futuristic gear just subtle hints will do me.

i want to give the feeling he has risen above the standing of an ordinary space marine.
