I just finished my "Lustwing" recently and thought I might post the link to some pics of the finished product here.

I don't think the guys over in the Dark Angels Section would care too much to see this so I added the link here.

I only have a link to my one blog post with all the images (6 in total, one for each squad and the commander)

Each image can be clicked on for the larger view.

My blog post with pictures

Enjoy.

Background...

I didn't make this army from any background as much as I wanted a challenge to build/paint/play.

The only background came from Slaanesh and I wanted to paint an army with pink in it.

Build:

It's the same 5 models over and over again with lots-o-conversions in each squad.

All plastic army, no metal bits.

Sonic weapon conversions.

Paint:

It's a 9 color palette (10 including the one additional color for the PreHeresy guys)

No black or white paint

No decals

Play:

It's a Deathwing with 26 guys at 1500 points.

Nothing other than infantry.

Thanks for the compliment, I did paint the banner myself.

I took me a couple of hours to finish it as it was done differently than how I usually do my banners. There is no black or white paint used in the entire army and so I had to find another way to "outline" my image to clean it up in the end.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I don't get out much these days...

Thanks for the questions.

What are they armed with?

They "count as" grey knights so they have storm bolters and power weapons.

One guy has a Psycannon and another has a Thunder Hammer and Storm shield.

What do I use to make the shoulder pads?

I use two things really to make the shoulder pads.

1. Cereal box cardboard for the base of the pads

2. Regular posterboard for the trim around the edges and the leather straps that hang underneath

Then it's a matter of glue and such to hold it all together.

I've got a small tutorial on my blog with all the steps and pics.

Here's the specific post: Shoulder pad tutorial

Thanks and sorry about the wait.
