AWSOME NEW RENEGADES!

Recommended Posts

sorry i made that up, but now that i have your attention...i'm trying to make a renegade chapter for my chaos army and can't decide on colour schemes. At the moment its mid-red with black trim.PS-some fluff to help:

-they got lost in the eye of terror or maelstrom and had to resort to chaos worship only to survive.

-they're kind of poor and scavenge things.

-they're short on recruits so they take any renegade marines and make worthy traitor guard into marines(they still have some geneseed technology).

that's about all i got, i've got a squad so far of 9,and am planning to get the battle force.Any ideas for fluff and organisation are also welcome.

ps-they like bayonets. :)

Poor? You mean monetarily? Marines have no use for such petty things!

Where do they get these traitor guard?

You know that in able to become astartes you cannot start the process past ages around 15 or 16?

Why did they have to resort to worshiping chaos to survive?

Maybe post an example of your scheme here with the B&C csm painter?

Give us more so we can better help you. ^_^

EDIT

Just had an idea.

You like bayonets.

Paint your guys some color but make their hands and wrists a bloodly looking red that kind of drips back so as to look like blood running down their hands. They could be called the "The Cutthroats" or something to that extent.

So far, they sound alot like the Red Corsairs (Maelstrom, red/black armor, renegades/pirates). Why not use the good ol' Tyrant of Badab as the leader of your force? That way you have a pre-made chapter AND a cool IC to lead it.

Of course, you might still want your own home-brew Chapter...

I agree, your OP pretty much described the red corsairs exactly, right down to the paint scheme.

yeah i was thinkin that, it could work in the sense that i could use Huron in games where i need some real HQ, my friend is gettin high marshall helbrecht so i need so hero muscle.I like the idea of the bloody hands thing(hey a possible name). i'll try a new scheme and post it with some pics and probably some WIPs aswell. Thanks for the feedback.

Oh also i had some older ideas that might be good see what you think:

heres the first:

3rd company of Excess-

Chaos God: Slaanesh.

Gene seed: Leman Russ.

Color of Power Armour: Black, with purple trim, purple helmets.

The Wolves Alabaster were once a well established loyalist chapter, unswervingly faithful to the Emperor of Man. They had fought many long and hard campaigns in his name without giving up, meaning they always won.

Even though they didn’t have access to particularly choice selection of stock for marines, they made up for it by excessively drilling their troops and not giving up even when told they couldn’t make a dent in their enemies plans.

Once, en route back to their home world, the ship of their only remaining forces, the third company was attacked by an angrily vengeful dark elder fleet. They lost all control and crash landed on a highly electrically fielded planet. Their ship was lodged in a volcanic area. This would go on to become their base of operations for the rest of their time. The marines that survived ventured out of their ship to secure their surroundings. They stumbled upon the forgotten ruins of a long deserted town. They explored the town and discovered some arcane ruins etched with mystic symbols in an ancient language which none of them could understand.

Their chapter master Volgan stepped forward and ran his hands over the runes, images of excess and times long passed surged through his mind and he stepped back in a moment of confusion. He did not know of the daemonic energies he had just unwittingly unleashed.

That night he ordered the battle sisters on the ship to meet him in his chambers for ‘loyalty assuring’. The Adeptus Soroitas would have fought fiercely to avoid this if they had known of the fate that awaited them. The energies of Slaanesh flowed powerfully in the next few hours. The Chapter master and the Adeptus Soroitas were both consumed by the corrupting power of Slaanesh and held a blasphemous orgy in his honor. That night Volgan was slowly transformed into a daemon prince and the battle sisters, daemonettes.

It is not known exactly why but the entire chapter fell under the graceful influence of Slaanesh and from that night on the chapter would never be the same. For now they were The 3rd Company of Excess and Slaanesh was pleased with his new servants who would spread terror and cultism to the followers of the Corpse-God.

Next:Warp Fiends

-excessive use of jump packs.

-ability to 'reality phase' like necrons do can actually be represented by any of the marks of chaos if you really think about all the things they could do with this ability.

-dark blue and black complemented by white tinged with slight blueness colour scheme.

And maybe a dragon warriors inspired chapter (really cashing in on the reptile stuff).
