DIY Chapter WIP stuff (Pic Heavy)

I love bike themed chapters (mine's sitting on the shelf awaiting the redux to see how viable it still is) and I have to agree that the White Scars would not be fun to paint. I love dragons so I'm drawn to this idea on multiple levels.

 

In general I'm not keen on combat shields. I understand that Space Marines are the sci-fi analog of knights but for me this is too much. That said, I love your chapter master. Very nice looking figure. The shield is a mite bulky for riding a bike but oh well. Nothing off to say about the libby. Very nice job. What's the dread doing with a shield in the first place?

 

Is the symbol on the front wheel cowling the chapter symbol? Will we see some of the regular boys?

The symbol on the front is indeed the chapter symbol, the curled dragon neck. I like combat shields from a fluff perspective, regardless of how great (or not so great) they are in combat. Believe it or not it's saved his life on several occasions.

 

I'll be happy to show you some of the regular joes though honestly most of them have little to no conversion done to them. Same scheme though...scab red with blood red highlights and white shoulderpads with red trim.

Say, from where does the dragon on the biker's storm shield come from?

I believe that it is from a 5th edition bretonnian knight head.
