titan136 Posted July 13, 2008 Share Posted July 13, 2008 Hey guys, wanted to share with you a couple of Black Templar bikes I painted up. Yeah I know, BT bikes suck =\ BUT THEY LOOK COOL! I've armed them with lances (power weapons) and Meltaguns (strapped to their bikes) so i can switch in between the two options. There are a couple more bikers (ablative wounds) who are waiting to be finished. I have several other armies but none of which i've put the same amount of effort in converting and painting as the templars Terminatorinhell: not JUST huge lances my friend, huge lances AND strapped on meltaguns! Technobarbarian: The bases were done using the GW tutorial (40mm squad base and 40mm round base cut in half Sandalphon: I found that most calvalry oriented bikers use the bretonian bits which are more arthurian. i wanted my templars to look like they're from the dark ages so I used darker colors and a more gritty selection of weapons. I may consider stealing the idea for either chaos marines or for a Black Templar army. Actually I'll use them for Khornate biker knights instead..... Thanx for the idea. Iago Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 titan: By bikers have been a very interesting experience, I use them mostly because I have been stiring away from lascannons and going for meltaguns and multi meltas. they scare the opponent alot more than they really have to and I usually get them assaulted (through no fault of their own). These surely look capable of penetrating most armor (killing a driver or desecrating the machines spirit) let alone the poor sop standing on the roadside hoping to hitch a ride. I would like to try the same, except model a melta grenade on the end (sort of a shaped charge on a stick). I will have to look into the new 5th to see how to make that work...
