Greatest Chaos Lord moment

Today I had a game at 1k vs. blood angels. Twenty Assault marines + Lemartes was jumping towards me, and I pop my Tzeentch Lord with deathscreamer and disc out.

I kill 3 with shooting, roll charge, roll 5 for daemonweapon, and go to town.

I take back some hits from Lemartes and two power weapons, but the invulnerable saves hold up. WS6 was great!

In the end, I kill 20 assault marines, 2 death company, and Lemartes and myself ended up killing each other on their last wound.

25 wounds in 4 rounds. Yikes!

At the end, I had lost one Lord, and I still had 3 troops + 2 rhinos on top of two objectives. It was really an amazing streak of kills.

Edit: Forgot, the game before, he charges 1 squad of chaos marines, and gets charged by a greater daemon. Having one wound, he kills off the chaos marine squad, saving against the daemon's attacks. He puts one wound on the Daemon from losing combat + fearless, and next round he hits about 4 times and wounds twice. Greater daemon fails twice, and Lord ends up dying to obliterator fire later. Not a bad trade-off!

What's the coolest thing your Chaos Lord has done, and what was he kitted with?

In 5th, the nicest thing my khorne lord has done is charge a Slaaneshi DP with his bloodfeeder, come out on top first round, lose second round by failing a bloodfeeder test, then battered in the third. Boo.

In 4th (apoc), slaaneshi lord with wings chasing down a dark angels devastator position. he made so many saves, and killed so many angels... very satisfying.

My Khorne terminator lord has a fairly epic saga. In the first 3 games i played him he did over 1000 points worth of kills and didn't die or wound himself, and he never came in before the 4th turn. He has earned the title The Inevitable because he never would come in on turn two but would also come in eventually and always killed something. Lately he hasn't been performing so well and is getting lots of 1's on his daemon weapon. His greatest, and saddest, moment was a couple weeks ago playing against a guard army. I had no icons in good places by the time he came in and he scattered rather badly, ending up on top of a hill in the middle of the map. The enemy proceeded to shoot him with a thunderbolt's full payload, including those one shot missile thingies, two lemen russ sponsons+lascannons, 2 lascannon heavy weapon platforms, and some ~40 lasgun shots. He saved or was missed by everything except the lasguns, which scored 3 wounds. Both me and my opponent were blown away and couldn't believe how lucky he was. At this point i so wittily remarked "wouldn't it be funny if i rolled 3 ones on the lasgun saves?" and then i did. And he died. :)
While playing the "Evacuation" scenario from the book, my lord was wounded by his rhino exploding around him, which I promptly failed and it turned into three wounds. So, from a single hellgun shot, my rhino and lord were dead. We had a good laugh.

My lord's Touch Of Death move against a Death Company Squad.

Got charged by 10 death company who prompted wiped out his retinue. He then spent the next couple of turns swatting the down marines with his power fist without suffering a wound himself.

3rd edition codex before the updated 3.5 chaos codex.

My chaos lord romped past 4 units of marines, literally just 32 marines dead in one game. These days with daemon weapons and the like, thats very possible to do, but back then it was an oddity to see a chaos lord kill so many. (You hardly see a bloodthirster romping that many these days)

My friend was playingthis huge sister unitarmy in a game where one aremy had to be completely wipes out after horrindous fighting there was only my lord locked in battle with 30+ sisters, 8 more turns later only mu lord remained it's a memroy i'll never forget.
Played my Death Guard Terminator Lord against a Chaos Nurgle/Khorne Daemon army. He managed to single-handedly kill a unit of Plaguebearers, Beast of Nurgle, Daemon Prince of Nurgle, Great Unclean One, and finally a Bloodcrusher of Khorne. AND... did so without rolling 1s or dying the entire game. Definite MVP of that game!

So on this topic, it seems people arn't afraid to use the Bloodfeeder. Where games can be won or lost in a single round of CC is just scares me that I'm going to roll that '1' when I realy need to win a combat.

But just because I think it's awesome I'm thinking of running a Khorne Lord on a jugger with either lightning claws or a bloodfeeder. The claws are way more reliable and with the extra attack and strength I get from the jugger added to the wound re-roll he's got 7 S5 attacks on the charge. But a daemon weapon is far more cool fluff-wise.

My best Chaos Lord moment was my Lord on Disk of Tzeentch with Deathscreamer coming in from reserve (escalation) and flying right into a unit of Eldar snipers (infiltrated too close to my line). Then he flew around the side of the board and started to wipe out the eldar from behind.

Worst I ever saw was a Khorne Lord with a unit of Thousand Sons. Got assaulted by Death Company. Got a 1 for his deamon weapon, the sons got wiped out by the DC. Next round, he got another 1 for his weapon, got killed.

In a 500 point game against IG, my Khorne Lord killed everything except the Leman Russ tank, although he would've destroyed that too if the lascannon in my CSM squad didn't get it first. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

He has the MoK(obviously), wings, the Bloodfeeder, and melta bombs.

I was playing against an Imperial Guard army, My Nurgle Lord, all kitted out, MoN, PLaguebringer, assualted 2 sentinels. actually killed one. immobilized the other the next turn. then a platoon of guardsmen assualted him, and missed every attack. he turned about and killed 6 of them. next turn, 6 more.(thanks to poisoned attacks). by the 4th turn, he killed the whole platoon.

the last setinel was destroyed by an obliterator.

the lord continued to kill more guardsmen, i think it was around 40 some before 6 autocannons shot him to oh so many bitz

Khornate Termie Lord, with all the Demon gifts I could want, Strength, Mutation, Resillence etc. Carried Axe of Khorne, and a Chainfist. took down a Monolith, took apart 700 points of Necrons, "died", came back as a BloodThirster, yay for Possession. and went through the remaining part of his army.

Oh another great moment. Khârn takes on Abbaddon and his retinue of Termies. Long Story short, Khârn kills them all, Massacres into some Havoks, runs into some Chosen, runs into some Marines, runs into more marines, runs into a Dreadnought, fights his way through a small Death Guard squad, and got to my opponent Deployment zone with 1 wound remaining. Everyone that was with him died, and all and everything in a 36" radius died as well.

While playing the "Evacuation" scenario from the book, my lord was wounded by his rhino exploding around him, which I promptly failed and it turned into three wounds. So, from a single hellgun shot, my rhino and lord were dead. We had a good laugh.

Hellguns are Str3 AP 5................I'd say your opponent got a laugh, getting away with that.

In that particular scenario all weapons rend and all unsaved wounds do a D3 wounds instead. This is a result of the game being played in a lunar/space environment.

My greatest Chaos Lord moment involved my lord getting 10 attacks on the charge with a daemon weapon to kill my opponent's last troop choice in his Space Wolf army and slaying 7 of them before they got to strike back, which was basically everyone who was left but the fist champ who my regular marines dealt with. It was also a real clinch move, that assault helped me squeak out a victory in that battle. When the battle was over, I had the lord with 3-4 Chaos marines and 3 rhinos. My opponent had a Wolf Lord, a Dreadnought, and his Leman Russ Exterminator. It was quite the battle and my lord came through for me when I needed him to.

Exactly. There's more than just the standard missions in the rulebook. I suggest giving them a try, as they are far more entertaining.
