sorry the light is really bad on these photos (either too bright which bleaches the highlights, or too dark in which you cant see them!) :(

(now i just need to think of some fluff for him...)

C+C welcome!

He's very shiny (red ink will do that). You might want to give him a coat of Dullcote. For pics, a bright lamp, tripod, and no flash on the camera will help with the too bleached/too dark problem. On to the mini...

Some nice conversion work. Not sure if I've seen a Nightbringer-to-Khorne conversion before. I like the use of the Be'lakor wings for variety and the Bloodletter Hellblades and tongue are a nice tie-in with the current Bloodletter look. Before the release of the Daemon Codex I'd have thought a Nightbringer wasn't beefy enough for a DP conversion, but given our new "skinny" Bloodletters, it fits better now. I do like the weathered look of the skeleton on the base, which could perhaps do with a few more skulls (but I like my skulls).

All in all, if this is your first attempt at conversion and painting, I can't wait to see what your future projects will bring as your skills improve.

Thanks for all the nice comments! :)

about the shinyness, i have puposely left the skin shiny to make it look slick with blood which i think it acheives. some people like it, others hate it, i personally like it but it doesnt matter too much. ;)

Looks awesome and really Khornate - GJ! the slick skin works for me and reminds me of Tim Curry as the Dark Lord in Legend, really works.

Commendable selection of bitz, my only suggestions would be to tone down the skulls in the wings (they seem pretty starkly white) and therefore lack some depth imo, a light brown wash or a mid-tone of bleached bone would help.

It also seems like you've highlighted the blades on the sword in the same fashion you've highlighted the cloth, you might want to blend them differently or apply a glaze over the blades to give the highlight more depth and help blend it.. Im thinking red, purple or maybe even dark green over the black would work..

either way its a sweet mini GJ :)
