Can mounted Infiltrators outflank?

Simple question, can a unit with the Infiltrate USR be mounted in a vehicle and still be able to use the outflank maneuver?

 

From the BRB under the Infiltrate USR:

 

"If a unit with this ability is deployed inside a transport vehicle, it cannot infiltrate."

it actuallystates pg 94.

Note if such units are picked from their army list together with their dedicated transport, they may outflank with their transport, but if they do so they must move onto the table embarked in it.

I think that's meant to apply to units with the Scout special rule. Infiltrators lose their infiltrate ability if mounted in a transport, and thus cannot outflank if mounted in a transport, as they no longer have the infiltrate ability from which their outflank maneuver is gained. Moral of the story: don't put your infiltrators in a transport if you want them to be sneaky. At least, that's how I read it.

I thought that too, but the rulebook doesn't say so. If a unit that has infiltrate or scout is selected with a dedicated transport, they may outflank in their transport. No requirement is written anywhere that the transport have the infiltrate or scout rule, just that it belongs to a unit that has them.

Infiltrate not in transport - outflank yes as they are not the same

AND - a unit does not loose the "Infiltrate" USR when mounted, they just cannot use it - but they get the associated "outflank" mission special rule as stated many times above.

So my Striking Scorpions with Exarch Shadowstrike ability (infiltrate) that are mounted in a Wave Serpent may outflank... nice! :huh:

Yep they can but remember they will come on in the vehicle so wouldn't be able to assault in the turn they arrived.
