sexiest_hero
So I was looking thorugh GW's uk site and I happened to find this lil gem while i was snopping around http://uk.games-workshop.com/chaosspacemarines/nightlords/ while i was reading i noticed this "On the tabletop, these masters of the art of terror are a highly mobile army, able to make rapid strikes at isolated enemy units then redeploying before your opponent can react to the threat. The normal limitation on Raptor squads does not apply to a Night Lords army and all Space Marines have Night Sight." thought that maybe i had just hit some kinda crazy dead zone but they have Orks, who came out way after choas, and 5the ED rulebook interviews and such so it can't be during the old chaos codex time., it also has renegade paint scheme, and a red corsairs army gallary. I would love to wave this around at a turny and say "See it's on the gw website, I can take as many units of raptors as I like, Since I have no normal limit, but hey, it doesn't say all night lrds have night sight, it says all Space marines so cheer up, Better still my night lords are Chaos space marines, so when I play my night lords army, Loyalest get Night sight and I don't. WOOH. Who does the copy ad past editing at GW......this is bad Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142105-nightlords-have-legion-rules/ Share on other sites
Lay
That's old stuff - I guess GW keeps it for the fluff. Edit: Lol, they've kept the designer notes from the previous codex as well: http://uk.games-workshop.com/chaosspacemar...igners-notes/1/ I enjoy having a role-playing element in my games of Warhammer 40,000. For me, there is far more fun to be had if the characters that lead my armies are fully defined with names, background and equipment that is entertaining, characterful and reasonably effective. It had become clear to me that single Legion armies were the preference of the vast majority of Chaos players and the response to Index Astartes was all the confirmation that was needed. Of course, with so many flavours of Chaos Space Marines you may find yourself torn between them – there's that many options available. The website gets stuff wrong all the time. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142105-nightlords-have-legion-rules/#findComment-1643212 Share on other sites
sexiest_hero
yeah It''s a painful reminder of what they did to us. the point of the post was, it would hav been easy for them to clip the old rules out at the end of the fluff. By the way lay that note you posted is stinginly what I miss most.
