Solid Zaku
By and large an improvement, here's some tips: 1. Don't add decals until you're finished entirely with your tank. 2. Don't be afraid of stripping (your tanks). Sometimes if it looks like Slaanesh barf, it just has to go. I felt very attached with my first tanks, but as I progressed as a painter, I realized that my older tanks were just not up-to-snuff, so, grudgingly, I gave them a funerary bath in Simple Green. You'd be surprised how good a paintjob will look once it's been stripped, re-primed, and re-painted. I know I did. 3. If you have tiny brushes, then use them! Those Gyptian glyphs on the front of the Pred are nice, but could go for some touch-ups. 4. About Techmarines (and SM tank crews): Techmarines and crews do typically paint their armor in the red livery of Mars, but leave their shoulder pads in the original colors of their Chapter out of respect to the sanctity of the armors spirit. If you'd like to redo your gunner, feel free to, but at this stage, painting over the old would make him the ever-feared "Blob of paint layers from the Warp". If you can't strip him, maybe replace him? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142696-my-new-tank/page/2/#findComment-1659482 Share on other sites
