HJL
you need to go over your reds a few more times to make the colors more solid, they look a little washy at the moment. nice freehand though and good job! Brother Plasticard
Looks pretty good so far. Two things though...keep your highlights thin, and the disturbed guy's arm looks a) a little too long b ) detached from the body. Overall looks pretty good! Raphiel
Heretic! There's only one true Land of Confusion and that's from Genesis. But I still like the freehand.... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142707-my-vindicator/#findComment-1654727 Share on other sites
Prtyjedi
Oh, goody. Someone here knows where the credit for that song is due. But yeah, nice freehand. A little less shaky pics would be nice, though. Try things like bracing your hands against a table corner, holding your breath and just putting the camera on the table and pressing the button. FearTheReaper
Oh, goody. Someone here knows where the credit for that song is due. not saying the Genises verison was bad; but their music video, to say the least, was weird. Disturbeds video is way better. (more on topic now) i think i spotted a Vindicator in the Disturbed music video. Master Chaplain Astador
I don't mean to sound harsh, but I would not consider this tank complete. It may be the picture, but the tracks seem to be unpainted. Also, you need to build up your basecoat before highlighting. The red is thin and streaky, which is because it lacks a good basecoat. Also, there are spots where you got the red on black. Mainly around the exhaust ports. You also need to thin down your highlights and build up layers. Instead of doing one bright highlight, do several lighter colours until hitting the brightest highlight in thin lines around the edges. Also, keep them consistent. On the Exhaust port, you highlighted the edges of one completely, but on the other, you only highlighted certain edges. While if would be alright if there were a light source reflecting that, it would then throw the rest of your highlights off. The freehand looks thick and a bit rushed as well. It looks good, but again, thin your paints and build up smooth layers. Time is key, and layers are your friend. :) Hope this helps!
