RWJP
Work on repainting the chipped areas (face and armour) before you even consider entering any competitions. Mal
I really hope thats a joke about entering that into golden deamon... But if you are serious... I'd strip it completly and start from scratch myself... it'd be easier than trying to amtch colours from chipped (and likely faded) to fresh coat. Mal
Thats fair enough, but if you plan on entering GD then im sorry to say you'll need something more impressive than a 1990's (I think) chipped sergeant. If you are intrested in learning to strip minis then in the PCA general and tutorials sections you can find guides on how to do this. Good luck, and have fun. Corax_rg
To be fair, he said competitions, not a GD. I love old models, and perhaps he has bionics in his face, eh? :teehee: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142722-a-blood-angels-sergeanti-think/#findComment-1651913 Share on other sites
Scar Weaver
Ah, an oldie but goodie! I concur, strip it down. There are some really great tutorials out there for BA red too. I look forward to seeing it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142722-a-blood-angels-sergeanti-think/#findComment-1652029 Share on other sites

calgar101
Yea i did say Golden demon, maybe thats a bit too enthusiastic, thanks for the help regarding guides. I will strip it down when i get the chance. Old models look much better than the new ones, all my sergeants are old models. I also have the old Marneus Calgar model some where Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142722-a-blood-angels-sergeanti-think/#findComment-1652300 Share on other sites
Mal
Cool, Im pretty sure I have the same model here somewhere too (the one sitting on a chair with a bolter rack next to him). Good luck with the striping, the best advice I can give you is to be patient. A nicely painted model takes time to do right, but once its done its more than rewarding enough Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/142722-a-blood-angels-sergeanti-think/#findComment-1652323 Share on other sites
