titan136
This was a commission piece done for Doctor Thunder. The model was built and converted by him. Some of you may have seen this in the WIP forum but it's finally finished! This was the first time i've attempted so much freehand on a model and there's definitely a learning curve. If you feel inclined, please vote for it on CMON: http://www.coolminiornot.com/197571 http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j232/ultramarines/Black%20Widows/Dread_Finished_1.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j232/ultramarines/Black%20Widows/Dread_Finished_2.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j232/ultramarines/Black%20Widows/Dread_Finished_3.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j232/ultramarines/Black%20Widows/Dread_Finished_4.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j232/ultramarines/Black%20Widows/Dread_Finished_5.jpg
Scar Weaver
Looks like one bolter to the face and that thing is done. Very well painted though.
Brother Plasticard
That looks sick! Good job! I have always liked your crisp paint style.
Fuhror Templar
Rediculously well painted. I can't believe how much time people spend converting and painting to make their models awesome, and this is one of the crispest coolest models i have seen (like the screaming faces on the side). Although those legs sticking out the end look like they would be a pain to transport or play with.
Metal Fingered Villain
I commented on this over in the WIP thread but wow, this thing is dope finished. The subtle freehand spider webs on the legs etc... are a nice touch. For a first try with that much freehand it is very good.

nurglespuss
As I said before - can't stand female space marines, but love this model!! brilliant job! still reckon it would look cool in a sisters army though!! ;)
OwenCrute
Awesome. I claim credit for helping cme up with the concept of the conversion itself, even though my suggestion wasn't used! >.> <.<
Isiah
Stunningly creative model and excellent painting skills on display titan136. There's too much to pick out and mention individually that's good – that's how good it is B). Cheers I

cathar the great
i liked the conversion from the first moment i saw it's WiP and the paintjob is absolutely superb! but i think it's a felony to put such a model on a standard dread base
Doctor Thunder
but i think it's a felony to put such a model on a standard dread base Don't really have a choice. Tournaments require you to use the bases they come with now, although Titan136 did adda lot of details to the base.
-Morkar-
You thought about add some blood in the fist? I mean, pretty little blood but enough to make some contrast with the all clean dread.
Brother Cambrius
I AM NOT WORTHY! That is an extremely sweet model titan136! I especially love the legs. Cambrius
Rymeer
Not realy sure I'm sold on the 'open' sarcophagus...but the paint scheme is very cool. I have a thought on that. Find a plastic 'bubble' package... one of those that encases a figure. buy it for the bubble... carefully remove the bubble and trim it to fit the middle of the dreadnought, covering the exposed figure. Now, before attaching, carefully paint, both inside and out, with watered down paints to represent a personal force field built into the dreadnought's hull. Just a thought, Rymeer
Shadow Nugz
Nice... though I have a question. Are the Black Widows loaylists or renegades? Anyway very nice freehand. I am extremely jealous of it. What colors did you use for the free hand on the black parts? It looks like Codex and Fortress grey but I am not sure.
