5th Edition questions

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but there are some things I am confused about with the 5th edition rule book. Anyway here it goes:

The first rule book I got was the Battle for Macragge mini-book, in it there were like 5 missions, cleanse, annihilate, secure and control, recon, and a few others. How ever there have been things on the GW site about using the "Bunker Assault" Mission rules, in my mini-book there is nothing like that.

And now to my second point; in the 5th edition book there are 3 missions, capture and control, annihilation, and seize ground. What is up with this? Are there more mission types to come out? Or are the Pitched Battle, Spearhead and Dawn of War things different missions? I am pretty much starting gaming now, at the end of 4th and beginning of 5th so before now I haven't payed much attention to the gaming side of stuff.

Thanks for your help and sorry to the mods if this is in the wrong place.

The first five missions you listed, from the Battle for Macragge mini-book is designed for 4th edition. The three 5th edition missions are the standard missions for 5th. the "Bunker Assault" is a mission, among others, in the second half of the 4th edition rulebook (and 3rd), Dark Millenium section, that gives alternate missions. This second part isn't in the Battle for Macragge mini-book.

When it comes to which missions you're using, the three missions in the 5th edition book are ones that I should start off with to learn the game. This is because these three missions were designed with 5th edition in mind, while the others mentioned weren't.

As they encourage you to make other mission types, you can use the other missions as starting blocks when creating friendly games with alternate mission objectives.

Hope that's of any help.
