Progress post.

 

Got some grey done on the first 2 squads. Next is to finish the grey, hit any accent colors, then start washes.

Still need to hit up ebay for missing terminator shoulder pads :(

This is going to be a really mighty force to face on the tabletop when they're done CarbonBased, the colours are again so vibrant and smooth! Can't wait to see them when they've been given some wash treatments.

I like what you did with the old Rhino lights for the missile launchers...think I will have to rummage around in my bits box.

 

How much effort does it take to get the red and yellow down over white as the coverage does look very thin and consistent.

The yellow is mostly old school GW ink, which I find very easy to use. The orange/red is Macharius Solar Orange, which works well thinned about 1:1 on my wet pallette. Both colors take about 3 coats.

Got one terminator (sans arms) ready for dullcote and basing. He's going to be my apothacary, so I'm trying to figure out how to work that plus either SB/PF or TH/SS swap-able

I'm debating how to model the apothecary gear and still have swappable weapons between THSS and SBPF. I can mount a stormshield to the GK Apoth arm I have easy enough. I guess I can mock up a carnifex/reductor to the powerfist arm as well.

Trying to decide if I should keep powering through Terminators, or pick another unit to paint.

;) Ermmm well...I think there's a couple of Rhinos/Razorbacks there that need some treatment. Something big to break up from the detailed terminatory goodness? They're all really coming along fantasically CarbonBased, the orange still makes me look away from my recent Chaos models in shame. :)
