Commissar Molotov
Very nice army, the vindi looks great. The obliterator is amazing, what head did your freind use? Oh and I cant wait to see the Paladin of Khorne! Disciple Here goes: Malthus Dire, Blood Paladin of Khorne (WIP): http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z121/mnesimache/Black%20Legion/Malthus-Dire-0001.jpg As I post this, it's probably worth sharing a story. You might be able to see a blob of blue on the base - that's one part of green-stuff, because I didn't have any blue-tack at the time. As I was about to take this picture I was trying to get rid of the blue, which had solidified. The modelling knife slipped and I cut my finger. Next thing I know, blood was literally spouting out of my finger. And thus we can consider Malthus Dire an anointed Blood Paladin. :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/143132-black-legion-army-blog/page/5/#findComment-1862145 Share on other sites

Dark Disciple
Anointed good. Slicing finger nae so good. He looks good, even without a head. I may have to copy this one I think as its rather good! Castlerook
Hmmmm, slicing your finger open while working on a Follower of Khorne.....Well, I think he is going to be blessed by Khorne forever now. Amazing work, can't wait to see the finished stuff. Oh, and.... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/143132-black-legion-army-blog/page/5/#findComment-1862842 Share on other sites
Captain Pugno
when you first showed the base model for Dire i was scepticle but now with your addditions I really like it! El-Diablo
The modelling knife slipped and I cut my finger. Next thing I know, blood was literally spouting out of my finger. And thus we can consider Dalthus Mire an anointed Blood Paladin. :D Yet I see no blood on the figure. :( I really like that - the pose is spot on and getting gorechild back on is a nice touch. Also, that skull is much better than the original. Very promising start - what else are you planning on doing to him? TheDarkApostle
Well, a quick update (but a very overdue one.) Nick has been causing havoc with his Obliterators but the current model sucks a lot. So he sawed it apart to get it standing straight, and I green-stuffed it back together. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z121/mnesimache/Black%20Legion/Obliterator-0001.jpg And, for you Team Fortress fans, a Heavy and a Scout. All together now: "Don't touch Sandvich!" http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z121/mnesimache/Black%20Legion/Obliterator-0002.jpg Now, now Mol. I have to ask you, is Nick a member of the B&C? TDA Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/143132-black-legion-army-blog/page/5/#findComment-1863171 Share on other sites
Commissar Molotov
Anointed. that's looking so good. wow. Thanks! :D Anointed good. Slicing finger nae so good.He looks good, even without a head. I may have to copy this one I think as its rather good! Disciple Edit: Do you think I said good enough? ;) I dunno, you could've squeezed it in a few times more, I reckon. Thanks for the effusive praise, though! He needs his neck drilling out and then I can add in the head: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z121/mnesimache/Black%20Legion/Kharn-03.jpg Hmmmm, slicing your finger open while working on a Follower of Khorne.....Well, I think he is going to be blessed by Khorne forever now.Amazing work, can't wait to see the finished stuff. Oh, and.... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! :P Indeed, indeed! Quite worrying, because I'll be facing him down on the other side of the table. Why I insist on sabotaging my ever-slight chances of victory, I'll never know. ;) when you first showed the base model for Dire i was scepticle but now with your addditions I really like it! Cheers. I think the Khârn model has always been one of my favourites, but it's difficult to really differentiate it from Khan. From what I remember this model will be painted in the black of The Legion, which might help - I'm not sure I've ever seen a Khârn in that scheme. Nick's being quite dilligent in painting his 500 point list first (what that consists of, I can't remember, but I'll bug him and add that to this list) though I keep annoying him because I want to see the Berserkers I converted painted! The modelling knife slipped and I cut my finger. Next thing I know, blood was literally spouting out of my finger. And thus we can consider Dalthus Mire an anointed Blood Paladin. ;) Yet I see no blood on the figure. :wallbash: I really like that - the pose is spot on and getting gorechild back on is a nice touch. Also, that skull is much better than the original. Very promising start - what else are you planning on doing to him? Hah, sorry to disappoint! Maybe I should paraphrase: "Khorne cares not where the blood flows, as long as it does (and it doesn't get on the carpet)." As said earlier, he needs the fantasy Champion head on, which'll be looking off to his right, across the axe. I'm also giving the backpack some thought because I'd like to do something interesting, but I'm not sure. I really like the Khan model so I didn't want to do too much conversion to it unless it really suited the model. The new skull is courtesy of Toyship and comes from the newer (and more realistically scaled) Vampire Counts skeletons. Now, now Mol. I have to ask you, is Nick a member of the B&C? ;) TDA He does indeed - I keep coercing him to post in this thread but he never does! Grimfoe
Wow. Really nice work. I have a second edition BL army that I just gave to my daughter. This makes me want to dig in and get working on updating/upgrading that army. Really nice stuff.
