Full-choke
This was my first major conversion project. I custom built the turret so that I can swap out the main guns for any of the major super heavies. I have the Shadowsword, Baneblade and Hellhammer barrels done and I am working on the other two. The front guns can also be removed and replaced with bits to cover the holes as you can see. The sponsons are magneted as well so that I can pull them on or off as I want. I also did custom fuel tanks and fenders in the back. And my pride and joy is the chrome mud-flap girls with the trucker pipes. I need to finish painting the necron tied to the back but other then that it is completely finished. Let me know what you think! However, given the matching color scheme with your SM army, i've kept the thread going since there is linking relevance. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/143317-baneblade-conversion/ Share on other sites

Full-choke
It looks a lot brighter in the photos from the flash. I use a basecoat of Chainmail, heavy dry brush of tin bitz and an extremely light drybrush of chainmail again. Come back over and trim it out in enchanted blue and it looks really sharp. The room was dark and the flash was really bright to get good close ups. Makes it look a lot flashier then it really is. The tin bitz gives the chainmail a lot darker tone to it, gives it that rusty feel. Full-choke
Here are a couple pictures of most of my army in my display case. It gives you a better understanding of the colors, kind of tones it down compared to what the Baneblade shows. Not nearly as bright as the Baneblade photos. I think the paint scheme really comes together nicely when you put the army in mass. The ghillie suit snipers don't really match the paint scheme but I couldn't help myself from doing it. I'm working on som urban snipers right now, hopefully the look as good when I get them done too.
