The pics are really blurry, but from what I can see they're looking good. ;) I would recommend you put your models in front of a neutral background (like a white sheet) so that the camera has an easier time focusing. Also, if you don't have a macro mode on your camera, try holding the camera further back and zooming.

looks good, much better than my first minis, but the pics are focused on the background, try putting a few sheets of white paper up near a window or outside, to get real light in and create a good background

ps. what camera do you use? is it a cellphone one (if yes, what brand and model?)

hahaha to Corpus. That is my room mate, he is a DC Metro cop who uses that stuff. He's also an inquisition man. and recently he is starting on a nurgle army.

Thanks everyone for the comments on the color scheme. I honestly thought the color scheme was going to look horrible! I nearly changed it last minute to Gold and deep purple. I am glad I decided to gut it out and buy green paints!

Sorry for the blurry pics everyone, I tried to clear it up but my digital camera is like a cheap 90$ one and so it is a pain, I might try and take pics of it on the hood of my car during the week hahaha.

my next batch of marines: Working on First company vet sergeants, then First squad of the Brother-Postulants of the Emerald Talons squad (see my Steel Wyverns link below for details). Once I get my bits order in from ebay, I will be working on the Emerald Talons themselves!

after them

you can also improve the photos easily, you see in the backgrounds of your photos some items are very clear, put these models near those areas. It would work very well from your whole army shot.

my eyes feel fuzzy now... ^_^

nice looking colours, and it looks neat from what I can make out.

May i ask, what type of camera you have, or rather if it has the auto-focus option, a little flower symbol?

If it does, select that. Then when taking the photo, press the button that you press to take the photo, but lightly and only once. If it is a camera liek those that i have used then it will auto focus to whatever is in the centre of the area. Then go ahead and take the pic.

Hope this helped.

btw, nice looking colour scheme, and great execution as far as i can tell :P

Cheers,

Azadul

i used boltgun metal on all the figures, and then used Trajan's "sludge mix" of 1pt badab black/1 part ogryn flesh/2 parts water with a droplet of fire orange and a tiny drop of dishwashing soap. the sludge mix really dirties the boltgun steel look, making it look weathered. i love it!
Hey there - the pics are SUPER blurry, as has already been mentioned, but it looks like you've done a great job from what I can see. Any chance of taking some better pics so we can give you all the praise you deserve? :) Maybe try using the "macro" setting on your camera?

Joasht, I was going to give a kind of mountains rocky base with some snow, since the fluff of their homeworld is that it is completely covered in mountainous land masses that are cold and bitter with no realmajor flat areas of terrain.

as for the camera xeno, I know I know LOL:)

can anyone tell me a good way to paint bone white robes? LIke on the DA Vet models? What is the color in the recesses?

If you're starting with a black undercoat, highlight up to Bleached Bone (Khemri Brown is good for the intermediate stages), then wash with Gryphonne Sepia. Then clean it up with more Bleached Bone, and work up to Skull White on the highlights. Of course, that method isn't set in stone, just try out recipes with Bleached Bone, Skull White, and some browns.

A tip on the camera, it's focusing on the stuff in the background because of the glass surface. The models are still looking very nice though, first time?
