Well the crux was really easy, but the effect is good. Paint the entire crux bleached bone, wash twice with gryphonne sepia and then paint the detail with bleached bone again, leaving the recesses.

I was happy with the result, I've just started using the washes and they really are great. I always used inks watered down a lot, but I have to say the washes are even better!

Thanks for the comments guys.^_^

hey, great work on the terminator!

I would suggest adding more highlights to the chest. Maybe adding battle damage if that is your thing.

Finally, practice free handing because although your highlights are crisp and clean, the legs look very plain and could do with some freehand work! Good job and keep at it.

I think it looks wonderful.

While the leg may be a little plain, it doesnt have to be flashy and awsome. Its high tech gear of war, not a custom chopper; its ok to be plain. I would caution freehand. Maybe shoot from some white text or could just leave it be. I think it looks fine as is.

I disagree, considering the level of detail he put into the other parts of the terminator, the leg does indeed look plain. Now, if the other parts of the model looked plain as well the leg would look fine. Maybe you see my point? Either way, both of us agree, its a good job James! Keep it up!
Looks really good, black is a pain the butt to make look nice, but you can tell the quality of you painting through the face, guns and symbols, if i had one complaint, it would be the thickness of your highlighting on the black, for instance the elow pad, it could be a bit more subtle but overall really nice.
yea I agree with R-code. I played Templars for 5 years and the VERY best I was able to make the armor look was using several Vallejo Model Colors to highlight. darker ones were wider, whilst lighter ones were thin and only used on raised portions. You know the deal.

This has always been a problem I've had with a lot of BT models. The extreme highlighting folks tend to use makes them look cartoonish to me.

Model looks fabulous, but I would personally tone down the highlights... a bit.
