New Steel Wyverns

all the vets were painted up this weekend, including the Apothecary. Forgive me if any of the pics seem kind of repetitive. I am really pleased with how their turning out. If this is the best I get, I will be very satisfied. I am really happy and am enjoying this new hobby. I actually have owned most of these marine minis for 2 years, but was too nervous to paint thinking I would suck horribly at it. To my surprise, with the right amount of brushes, paints and patience, things aren't as hard as I initially thought! I definately am terrible with shading robes, but God willing, I will get better.

Stunning work brother Khalil!!! Still cant believe its your first time painting.

And much better pictures!! I like them alot.

Question though: Why different kind of robes?

Anyway keep up the good work!!

Found a decal for you if you havent already got the that is :P, Wyvern White. They also have the decals in black, blue, crimson, red and gold.

Edit: added decal link

You're too hard on yourself young padwan- the robes look great. These are definately a high tabletop quality and you might be surprised as well just how beneficial a good neat base will be to the model's paint-job.

Thanks for the link Trajan, that wyvern logo is pretty sweet looking! I may buy some. I was thinking of designing my own, a stripped down simple logo and cut out the symbol from a thin piece of plastic and using it as a stencil.

I chose different color robes just to add more color to my marines.

thanks Tortoise, I haven't decided on a base yet, too many ideas lol

Very nice. The colours all go well together and the figures are at a good table top standard. As others have mentioned, don't be too hard on yourself - these figures are nicely painted and you should feel encouraged to keep going. What's next on your list to paint?

next on the list is Brother-Postulants elite assault squad. then work on dev squad and basically prime and paint up all the bits i have and piece them together and see where they end up ;)

I am going to buy some green stuff and practice on conversion and then work on librarians, chaplains, and my Emerald Talons Brother Elites and some terminators.

After that its on to making venerable Dreadnought Odeon and a rhino. I got plans as you can all see ;)

I am also trying to write short novelizations of my S. Wyverns and see how good they are, I love writing and so I am thinking I can try and get them published one day haha
