Steel Scorpion Command Squad

Firstly, let me apologise to you all for my rediculous number of topics relating to my Steel Scorpions. I can't seem to stop myself from painting them!

After Captain Herminius I had to put together a commond squad so here they are in all their glory. I am by no means pleased with the finished result, especially the book on the standard. However, they do seem to fit well with the rest of the army and on the battlefield they look very nice indeed!

As per usual, C&C is very much appreciated (just don't mention the mold lines! lol)

Marius looks very characterful. I really like these marines even though I'm usually a fan of metallic colour schemes. Well done!

BTW have you used the washes to get the dirty look to the armour or have you used thinned down paint instead? I'd like to use that technique for the weapons on my Night Lord Terminators.

Great work AB!

I wondered where you were hiding! :D

I agree with B-C-Astador about the highlights in places - maybe go back over them with a thinned mix of the wash and the metallic paint to blend the edge of it a bit.

Other than that, top stuff, mate!

Heru, not on this post, but on one of his others, people saying its bad that he's taking someones DIY without mentioning he borrowed it on every single post.

Oh, dude, put some white on that apothicary to show his aligence to the apothicary people (forgot the name, stupid havening to work whilst on holidays)

Yeah that would of been me, and I wasn't flaming him. I was pointing out good manners, but it's all good now.

@ Angel_Blade: Hurry up we want to see the next batch of minis! ;)

Sorry guys been away but back now! Thanks again i'm really enjoying painting these guys. The crests are from the plastic dire avengers and the shield is from the masters of the chapter.

Heru a complete linebreaker squadron should be finished by early tommorrow evening!

Cheers all AB
