solid snake drive
This one's about a marine who is about to turn renegade after finding the "truth" of the Imperium. That's why it's called Dissolution. Sorry about the lack of details. I was just practicing getting the pose and the stuff right. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa152/Imakura/Dissolution.jpg This one's just a doodle for a chaos lord me and my friend's been thinking up. Just a sketch, nothing more, but I thought I might as well put it up anyway. He has no name but, the Saint. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa152/Imakura/Crucifer.jpg I apologize for drawing these on lined paper, but I seen to only draw good if I wasn't planning on doing so. If I sit down with the intention of drawing something, it comes out horrible. My curse. C&C welcome.
Tyrannicide
I really like the second sketch, the Chaos Lord's 'alternate' armor pattern looks great. Akin to what a Night Lord may wear?
solid snake drive
Yes. We based him off of Soviet Russians, with a Night Lord theme... who's primogenitor chapter are the Iron Hands...
JetfireUK
I like your Chaos sketch. I wonder how I can model that on a space marine? I like the shoulder pads especially and shouldn't be too hard to mold in Green Stuff. Thanks for the ideas - consider them nicked!!
solid snake drive
Consider them offered. ;)
Alpha PTP
They are great sketches, but you should know some things about human proportions before you throw them into some armor. Arms are never straight like that when relaxed, and neither are hands. You should draw them to look a tad relaxed, mate. Also, the renegade's arms and hands look a tad flat compared to the backpack and head. The more you draw, the better you get. ;)
solid snake drive
Thanks for the critique, but the second one was just me getting the picture out of my head in a hurry before it left me so I wasn't really concentrating on the proportions. solid snake drive
512 views and only three replies? Am I doing something wrong here?
Pulse
Na mate, your not doing anything wrong just people seem to like looking and lurking rather than posting. I have to say i like both pictures, the first one i like with the battered and broken imperial eagle, would probs turn renagade myself if the imperium i was fighting for was as bad as it is. The 2nd sketch i love, i think the overlapping gothic style armour is fantastic. I think its time you stopped doodling on lined paper as well!
solid snake drive
Thank you very much, and yes. From now on I'm going to leave a sheaf of white paper on the side of my bed.
nurglespuss
Tis true though, Its amazing how little peeps respond to the stuff they look at ;) I really like the armour idea, but I especially like the half mask. Its given me a few ideas :>
solid snake drive
@Nurglespuss: Thanks! I'm really proud of the mask. I've always been horrible at painting faces so I find any excuse to not paint them and what better than a mask? Lol.
