Wow.

I love the sergeant and the battle brother on the far left in the first pic. They both look superb, and the detail on the sarge is just plain heroic. Not to say the other models are shabby, but compared to those two, their greatness is eclipsed.

Bravo! Put yourself down for a promotion.

I think the painting is excellent (as always), the dark style makes these UM look quite interesting too.

I'm not too thrilled by the snow though. It looks kind of like they're wading through a mass of pillow-feathers. ;)

Snow for these guys is a great idea, but I think you should think of a different kind of snow-effect.

Thanks everybody

yeah, i'll be trying a different method when i get the stuff i need, hopefully it'll turn out better.

as for the edging highlights, tbh it's juist alot of practice and a good set of brushes.

Keep your eyes peeled for more :pinch:

cheers

Awesome Ultramarines, I love them! Exactly the right shade of blue in my opinion too.

If I'm not mistaken, it sort of looks like you started from a dark blue base, drybrushed to pick out the highlights then highlighted it with two different shades of blue. Of course I could be totally wrong :P
