Spacefrisian
I've also put this in the SW section, but i guess i get even more responses about it over here. Its a short story about how the Wolves got that strike cruiser called "the wolf of Fenris" back. (1st try) The Wolf of Fenris Although Huron had captured the strike cruiser called the Wolf of Fenris he made one fatal mistake. The Spacewolves never forget, never forgive! When Huron had captured the wolf of Fenris he did not waste time to put it to use, launching raid after raid on other Imperial ships. Those raids however were carefully watched by scouts ships of the Spacewolves themselves. Reporting every now and then back to the Great Wolf about appearances in certain sectors. Huron might have been watchful of the Wolves but in time he forgot to watch his back. And that was the moment the Wolves had been waiting for. The re-capturing of the Wolf of Fenris They assembled a small fleet of cargo ships centered around a single strike cruiser called “The Lion’s pride” and send out messages in parts where Huron had often been sighted. It took some time before Huron and his Corsairs took the bait. But when he did he realized his mistake to late. Shortly after half his forces had entered the cargo ships reports of them reached Huron ears but those were no reports of victory and loot and such, only the final screams of death and the howling of a pack of wolves reached him. Realizing his mistake Huron set out to make his escape but was caught off guard by the Lion’s pride which blocked its path. He took no change and shot the ship down however this was the intention of the wolves all along. As during this time they entered the Wolf of Fenris and slaughtered everyone in their path . Huron Runs Facing defeat and a possible death Huron chooses to abandon his man and flees leaving the Wolf of Fenris behind in the hands of its true owners. The Spacewolves. And to this day Huron has never attempted to capture a ship of the Spacewolves again fearing that the next time they might get the better of him. FIN So what do you think does it need some more or good enough? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/144397-the-wolf-of-fenris/ Share on other sites
Commissar Molotov
Doesn't the most recent Chaos Codex use present tense when describing the Wolf of Fenris as the greatest prize Huron has? I don't have the Codex in front of me, so I can't back up the argument, but it would seem to me that the strike cruiser remains out of the hands of the Space Wolves. That's not to say you can't have your Wolves attempting to exact some form of vengeance, but recapturing the vessel would seem to go against what we know. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/144397-the-wolf-of-fenris/#findComment-1673653 Share on other sites

Dark Bjoern
I guess he want to say that we would not allow Huron to keep our ship. We will get it back.
