1980's combat squad

Hi all, I had too much time (and not enough sense) and so as usual found myself on the Ebay (must delete my account so I can't use it). Well, needless to say, through sheer luck, I won These Guys with a virgin bid (half the price of a new tac squad :D).

Well, now I have to decide, do I hold out and see if I can find 10 of the old jump packs (unlikely, managed to locate only 1 so far), and I had a go of the home-made version, but wasn't 100% impressed with my version. Or do I wait for an old rhino to pop up on ebay, grab that and have an assault squad on foot?

Any opinions always very welcome!!!

I have the first and the last miniatures and have the old jump packs on them, though I added the jump packs back when you still bought a blister of them individually. I'll try to post a photo. The minis are slightly smaller scale, so the jump packs make them stand out more and have more of a battlefield presence. They could be used as a a great vanguard unit.

I'd try to find a rhino; they're on eBay all the friggin time, and cheap as hell. I've got at least 7 of the buggers lying around.

The only problem is that most of them are painted, but some simple green or plastic-safe brake fluid will fix that. Also, they'd make great command squad guys or veterans!

You can still order the RT style jump packs from GW. I won a similar squad on eBay, and my FLGS manager said that they still fill a lot of their bitz orders, depending on supply. 10 jump packs don't come cheap, but it's easier than scouring eBay for weeks trying to track them down.

Ok, so I realize that this is my first post so I don't sound very trust worthy but this post made me finally start an account.

I also have a full set of these guys that I don't need and several if not all of the jump packs. The packs however are on other models and are painted but if you are interested drop me an e-mail.
