The "Wolf Time" is approaching

Megalodon

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate the feedback!

I am a little uncertain as to what to include in this new SW force. I know for a fact that I will have 2 full strength GH packs, a full strength BS pack and a Long fang pack as the ground work for the army.

I have a ton of NIB models to draw from to make this Wolf army including the following:

4 boxes of Grey Hunters

2 boxes of Tac Marines

1 SM command squad

2 boxes of Assault Marines

3 boxes of Blood Claws

2 boxes of Terminators

2 Boxes of the old hybrid Devastators.

4 blisters of Heavy Bolters

2 Dreadnoughts

3 Predators

1 Whirlwind

1 Landraider

1 LR crusader

4 Attack Bikes

20 SM bikes

4 Rhinos

2 Razorbacks

8 Landspeeders

So there is lots of potential in that lot. If I use it all for this army I'll be converting and painting forever! :Troops:

The Wolf Guard just gets better & better, Megalodon. Is there going to be a whole squad of these fully converted Wolf Guards?

Thanks a lot! This Wolf Guard will be a Grey Hunter Pack Leader, but yes there will be whole squad of them eventually. I'm just not sure If I will do much on them before the new Codex comes out, since we have no idea what options there will be. The WG Pack leader for my BC's is gonna wear mark 3 armor he will be armed with a powerfist and storm shield, cause I think it would look awesome!

Indeedy-do, though I think a lightning-claw would suit the imagery better. I'm looking forward to see it.

Here is the more or less completed WG. He needs a little clean up on some of the GS.

I didn't notice the mag on the combi weapon was messed up until it was pinned and glued. So I tried making a Drum mag, I'm not completely happy with it. I may change it to a hanging belt of ammo instead.

He turned out much taller than I expected almost a head taller than a normal Marine mini. Part of this comes from the fact he is actually standing up, the other part comes from using the Khorne Zerker legs which are a little taller and mor bulky than normal marine legs.

He looks awesome and I really like that wolf tooth necklace addition. I like the idea of including the drum magazine, but it doesn't seem to fit on this model for some reason. I think he would be better off with a belt of ammo instead, like you suggested earlier.

I appreciate the feedback!

Kikunosuke, I'm just on a roll right now!

Here is the first converted Long Fang.

I like the way he turned out; the conversion gave him some height and more importantly a neck!

Small, short update. I've decided to use 3d GC badges. I'm gonna sculpt one then make a green stuff impression mold so I don't have to sculpt each icon. Ive chosen to use the Night Runner badge.

Here is the pad with the the moon in place; when this is dry I'll begin sculpting the Wolfs head.

I use the Night Runner as well for my army. I don't like transfers and I decided I wanted to free hand all the great company badges, army badges, etc. To keep it more simple, I patterned the wolf head after the old Rogue Trader space wolf transfer. The end result is something I'm very happy with. It has a more sophisticated, streamlined look while being somewhat tribal and appearing to be hand painted by each company member.

I think it would look even better if it was sculpted. Think about it.

Sorry for the lack 'O updates, I've been working on my FOW Germans for an upcoming tournament.

Anyway I'm back working on my wolves. I've assembled all 5 Fangs now, I still need to finish the GS work.

I started working on my Ven Dread. He is still very WIP.

Inspired by Ion Raptors T-sons dread.

The Long Fangs look nice, although 3 top knots seem a bit much for one squad (unless it is something to do with Long Fang background). Looking forward to see what else you come up with them.

The venerable dreadnought looks great...I'm particularly fond of that look. What did you use for the body part of the sarcophagus. It looks like the back part of a marine torso, but not sure from where. Could we get a different angle on the dreadnought as well...want to see how far forward the sarcophagus is.
