Death Comes Loudly

Here's a real quick project, primarily for the purpose of enhancing the visuals for an Apocalypse game. I wanted to have something a little different for my Deathknell marker and after getting inspired by a dried up magic marker, I ended up with this.

Here's how it turned out with some paint

It still looks like a magic marker to me and I suppose some smart aleck will comment: "Behold, the Emperor's wrath manifests itself in the form of the greatly feared Death marker..."

but I still like it more than one of those steam punk teleport homers that you get with the termies. Anyway, it was quick and it was easy and that ain't all bad.

Cheers,

It looks great, if you want to make it less marker-like add some fins of plasticard.

I actually thought about that, but was trying to avoid the equally mocked "Death Lawn Dart". Adding fins is a good idea, I just never came up with a fin shape I was happy with.

Anyway, thanx for the C&C all!

Cheers,

Some people use unburied dog skull as a terrain piece (the dog they had as a child... yep, that's true, and that's gross.. not me... someone else... I love dogs, I swear)

Some people use dry markers as Apoc' markers..

What really matters is the 'cool effect'...

Dog skulls = SO uncool.. :nuke:

Dry markers = cooooool...

Nice find, Honda... cheap and effective... I like it

:) the def :)

Simple, yet highly effective, I like!

i like it to. allthough if it was a warhead wouldnt it have denonated?

It surely would have, if the machine spirit dwelling within the circuitry of the warhead had been properly attended to. Instead, the payload inside remains undetonated, waiting to be captured and put to use by ground troops, no doubt.

This is a Deathknell Beacon from Apocalypse: Reload. Basically, this comes down as per DS rules and acts as a Teleport Homer for an Orbital Bombardment. Then at least 25 Terminators (if your being conservative... Honda, being Honda, will probably opt for at least twice that  ) and as many Dreadnoughts as you can find DS near it.

You win next turn.

@ Honda - Fantastic Conversion. I may have to nick it, I'm afraid.
