tortoise
A few bits and pieces I'm working on for my EC army. The idea is to make them rather more flashy than the standard chaos marine and more in line with the imagery of the Slaanesh Lord model. Legs http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/tortoise222000/legs.jpg Heads, torsos and shoulder pads. Although I'll do some more torsos than the 2 here I'm less bothered about those since they tend to get quite well hidden by the sonic blaster anyway. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/tortoise222000/helmets.jpg Here's kind of what they might look like when done. These aren't so ornate as the one's I'm working on now though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/tortoise222000/marinesangle.jpg Comments and suggestions anyone? slah
Those are excellent. With a "minimum" of green stuff you make them truly their own. Proof that sometimes less is more! The Defiler
Add me to the "you've done a wonderful GS work on them" list, please. Great minis.. Just one little thing though, the GS on the legs doesnt' seem to be blended enough with plastic on the upper part of the knees (legs shot, left knees of minis n° 1, 3 and 4, from left to right).. Keep up the good work anyway, they're going to be impressive ! the def :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/144849-slapping-the-green-on-some-chaos-marines/#findComment-1679108 Share on other sites

tortoise
Thanks for the comments guys. Very much appreciated Add me to the "you've done a wonderful GS work on them" list, please. Great minis.. :) Just one little thing though, the GS on the legs doesnt' seem to be blended enough with plastic on the upper part of the knees (legs shot, left knees of minis n° 1, 3 and 4, from left to right).. Keep up the good work anyway, they're going to be impressive ! ;) the def I think the legs you're refering to are the ones with leather on. There is supposed to be a visible gap at the top where the knees are. In the greens its hard to make out what's going on because I don't sculpt leather by covering the armour. I use the armour as the leather base and just blend green in to make the creases and edges. Asmodeus' Swordhand
the third head from the left is obviously most ornate, and it is beautiful. If you worked on the other heads that amount, I would have to say that these are the best noise marines i've ever seen. Amazing. Evapilotone
Fantastic work. Really very effective. I can't think even how I could suggest anything to make it better. Hope to see more pics (possibly painted?) very soon!
