They look good from what i see, i am intrigued though... does the fluff say that the 1st company are in black or is this your interpretation of the first company? Dont really know so would be happy to find out!

S.O.N.

yes the truth is that grey knights are infact black not the steely blue we see them has now a refrance of this brother can be found in the book Index Astartes II page 40 it shows a piture of there orignol colors also on page 41 about 3/4 of the way down it states that they are infact the 1st company of the Grey Knights

the paint schem i have done is the black of what they are ment to be but i have tried to add a bit more red and golds to the models other wise they would be to plain im very happy with the results not happy tho is that the whole army was steely blue and now im haveing to paint them all again LOL

i hope this helped brother

I like what you've done with the Land Raider's interior, and the Dreadnaught's assault cannon. The camera phone really does wash out a lot of details and makes some of the black look like green though.

Thank you brother and yes i will try and get a beter camera soon so i can do the models justicew and take some beter pictures

They look good, as they are, but I would paint, or add definition by washing the brass icons etc from Forgeworld - on the LR at least.

Regarding your belief that they are black armoured, this is not true, if you look closely at IA II you will see that they are actually VERY dark grey, and this was the original colour sceme used by GW when they brought out their first GK models - those with the massive heads and two-handed halberds.

When GW released the current GK models, they changed the scheme to the current oily blue steel.

Whilst the latest scheme is more dramatic, I prefer the old 'off black' grey of the originals.

It would not take much, just a light dry-brush of a dark grey to bring your vehicles to this colour, with a codex/forteress grey highlight on the edges.

For washes on brass & bronze, I make a mixture of 2 parts brown (the new sienna wash is nice) and 1 part dark green. This mixture, when applied ini light layers, gives a feeling of aged-patina, rather than soil or a true verdigris. The kind of finish you'd expect on brass/bronze that's been cared for, but that time has left its mark upon.

I like the look of the LR, but I don't like the black GK's. They aren't black in any company, for that matter I'm not even sure they have companies. In reality its doubtful the GK's are arranged in the 1000 man/10 company setup. The =][= can easily work around this, and only having 1000 Gk's would be pretty bad when you are defending an empire as big as a galaxy.

I was under the impression the 'Black Armored' Grey Knights was sort of a rumor instead of being actual fact. Also, while IA does mention the fact that the Grey Knights have 'companies' they are very likely larger (on several magnitudes, though smaller than the total number of Black Templars) than your standard Codex Chapter.

Holy <DELETED BY THE INQUISITION>, I've the same desk than u.

Your models are good but as the others adviced, I would like to see more highlights to contrast them more. Even if you want them dark, they are called grey knignts after all :D
