Please let me know what you think :> if its an improvement, what I still need to do etc. I take all advice on board!! (p.s. aioannou
the sculpting works really good mate, only thing to do with the sculpting would be id make the loincloth part abit wider and longer. and i really dont like those lightnigting claws on termies, they look so static, but the scultpings good.l Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145107-sculpting-attempt-3-please-comment/#findComment-1681912 Share on other sites
Nickotodo
Yeah, I think the same. The bottom doesn't match the top, it is too thin. But it looks really good :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145107-sculpting-attempt-3-please-comment/#findComment-1681953 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
Cheers guys, I'll keep that in mind for the next lot :> What I really wanted was a 'toga' effect, but that'll take some thinking :> Cheers! edit: yes I hate those claws too to be honest. I'm glad the rest of the squad is having hammers/shields, If I could order bits, I would get the lovely sleek old lightning claws. tortoise
Getting better. How are you making the creases? If you're just pressing the sculpting tool in then there is a better way to do it. Make the first depression using a thin sculpting tool. Then take a wider one ( at least double the width) and stroke it along the depression until a nice gentle curve is created. At the rate you're improving you'll be a sculpting God in no time though. nurglespuss
hahaha! 'Sculpting Sod' more like it :D Thanks Tortoise! (Great user name btw). I'm curently making first mark using the thin edge of my main sculpting tool, then widening it with soft clay sculpting tool (long wedge). So I should graduate a little more in between? No problem, I shall give that a go on the next one (although the next three I have to try and do robes with a split down the middle, to show some chest detail as these will be the Aurora ones). What I should be doing however is Uni work :). THanks again! Also, I've always used greenstuff (except for using milliput white on bases occasionally). Is this the best stuff? I have no problem with it, but unfortunately the 36" strip I grabbed on ebay, has a lot of lumps in it, which I have to try and whittle out.
