JetfireUK
Hi All, Here's my latest figure - the plastic Chaos Terminator Lord in Night Lords colours. I really liked the kit and would like to build a couple more due to the amount of options that are available. I did a very slight conversion - I took the right shoulder of the combi weapon as it was straighter than the arm of the combi-flamer. I deliberately didn't highlight the blue parts of the armour as I didn't want it conflicting with the lightning bolts. I also used a lot of the brown GW wash to give the Tin Bitz armour plating a tarnished and worn look. Just for fun I've included a picture of the 2007 Metal Terminator Lord - I personally liked the figure although it was in a rather static pose. As always I'd like to here your comments and criticisms as it helps me to become a better painter. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270519.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270518.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270520.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270522.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL270521.jpg Next on my list is the Chaos Terminator Squad! nurglespuss
Looking good :> that tin bits works really well as a contrast to the blue. cool! The only bit I don't get with that kit, is the legs in seperate sections (it was useful to me when making a terminator character) but seems a little unnecessary. I mean, there are no alternatives on the sprue! Its a bit like the seperate shoes on the Ogre sprues, why?!
Blackavar
The stonework's exceptionally good - how did you get it so weathered? I've got my own Terminator Lord to paint soon, I'd love to get his base looking as good as that! :)

I undercoated the whole base with black spray and then painted three thin layers of scorched brown. I then washed the whole thing with Danub Mud. When the wash was dry I lightly dry brushed two layers of Snakebite Leather, then dry brushed Graveyard Earth followed by Bleached Bone and finally Skull White. I found that a light dry brush for each layer really brought out the stone work.

Honda
First off, excellent blue, lightning, metal, stonework...just Wow! But...<and you knew there might be one coming ^_^ >, I really think you need to give his cloak just a tad more attention, maybe even some freehand. This guy looks just awesome, but his cloak looks like it came out of a second hand store. Even if it was just some additional highlights and perhaps the dirtying of the bottom bit...he really deserves just a bit more love. I really like what you've done. Keep up the good work! Your comments about the cloak are spot on - it's great having another pair of eyes on the figure. I'll see what I can do to make it looks less 2nd hand and more battle hardened. I'll post some more pictures once I've had a go at it.
