little stuff
How long have you been play/painting 40K for? I know warhammer 40.000 since one year because of my best friend (he plays a blood angel army, that's why I know them) but it's my first army and my first painting. Manserus, you have discovered my secret^^ It's my first mini, that's true but my friend gave me a lot of tips and I have read a lot of, tutorials on different web site like ciryl abati etc.. . And when you have a friend near of you to give you a lot of advices, it's easyer to make a good painting^^ It's great that you speak french Manserus but can you speak only English please, it's a very good exercice for me^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145207-my-ultramarine-army/#findComment-1683308 Share on other sites
MalevolentMc
Wow that's the truth. Your friend giving you advice really paid off! You have grasped a lot of advanced yet simple techniques. For example, the use of a brown undercoat really gives some depth to the blue. A lot of first time painters usually master the painting style of flat colors only. If you've flat out skipped that stage, i think your are heading on a path to victory brother :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145207-my-ultramarine-army/#findComment-1683340 Share on other sites

My friend told me that when you want to put a color like yellow or white on a black base, you need to put several layers of intermidiate colors, do you know what are these colors?? bienvenue au bolter & chainsword.ton travail est tres tres bon little stuff.continuez avec le travail superbe Mais aussi, désolé pour mon mauvais français. je suis un Anglais bête [/quote ^^ thanks a lot Aioannou but don't worry, it's kind of you to speak in french and it's not bad at all! aioannou
it would be best to get your hands on the new foundations and washes. they are 1000000% worth the money. they cut painting time and increase quality. honestly they are fantastic. and id say go for the grey foundation with thin layers of bleached bone ontop, finally building up to white.
