Joiji
I like it. Pretty decent, and a hell of a lot better than what I was churning out when I was your age. For advice; Try and steady your hand when your painting, you seem to be slipping outside the lines a little bit, but thats easily solved. Read a few tutes and keep practicing, I'm sure you'll start giving a lot more of us a run for our money :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145316-huron-blackheart/#findComment-1684820 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
also, do you have the new washes? a 1/1/1 red/brown/black wash would work wonders on that when its done :> great job! Brother SRM
You say you're 13? You beat the hell out of a few 19 year old painters I know! Definitely a good start, looking forward to seeing what you do with his head. JetfireUK
Very nice. You should be proud of Huron! A couple of tips would be to thin your paints a little for the next figure you paint as lots of thin layers of paint build up a solid colour and wouldn't obscure the detail. Steadying your hand is a good tip too and would mean that you'd avoid going over the edges. I'm 31 years old and my first figures in my teens weren't up to this standard - you've got a lot of potential so keep up the good work! FerrumIgnatus
Holy... 13 years old and such an awesome paintjob? Any chance you've followed the Huron Blackheart 'Eavy Metal paintguide in WD333? If not, there's one heck of a darn nice job for you in the 'Eavy Metal team. Great job so far! Keep it up! PHS
if you have any yellow and white you should be able to mix a decent flesh colour, make a sort of orangey pinky colour then add a small amount of green. the green tones down the "orangey-pinkyness". just experiment with the mix , a little grey in there might help as well. hope this makes sense got a feeling you are going to go a long way Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145316-huron-blackheart/#findComment-1685048 Share on other sites
