Ragnar Lodbrok
just a little question here do you think some space wolves trim their fangs cuase some of em gotta be gettin to long now. like egil ironwolf hes like a thousand or somethin his fangs gotta be down to his belt Trim their teeth? :D You do realize how much that would hurt right? Its not like hair nor are they going to keep growing eventually they will stop as most wolves' teeth do. Vash113
No I wouldn't think any Space Wolves trim their fangs given how much import is placed on them, I suppose they naturally stop growing after a time or as time goes by they grow much more slowly so that even incredibly old Space Wolves don't have Ork like tusks protruding from their mouths. That or just general use wears them down. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145515-wolves-and-their-fangs/#findComment-1686780 Share on other sites
MaveriK
do real wolves/canines as they mature have overly excessive fangs? no... its only common sense, as nature and the gene seed of Russ intended. Bran Scalphunter
Normally no, but as we Wolves have variably unstable geneseed, I imagine there could be a Long Fang with walrus tusks around here somewhere. Maybe a conversion someone? *wink wink nudge nudge* ;) *goes off to gnaw on ham bones to trim fang* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145515-wolves-and-their-fangs/#findComment-1686830 Share on other sites
Ullr Direfang
this is the idea i based my great company off of. the wolf guard and priests of my company actually inspect new blood claws for "longer" fangs. they do this because of their wolf lord. he has some of the longest fangs around and he has only been a space wolf for 37 years. i got the idea from actual the actual dire wolf (direwolve/direfang). they are gone now, but had longer fangs with shorter and stronger jaws. i did a small project on them in on of my classes and love the idea of larger stronger, longer fanged.....and slower wolves, that is why i don't have many transports. MaveriK
They say that Logan has the longest fangs in the Fang today, but I can't picture the fangs in general growing past the lower lips, that would look a little out there for me... wulfen on the other hand is a completely different story LOL Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145515-wolves-and-their-fangs/#findComment-1686955 Share on other sites
Lord Howland Greywolf
Well perhaps they would trim them if they got in the way of their ale drinking. Or they could use them to open the cans. Captain Malachi
Or they could use them to open the cans. Cans!? You must be kidding, wolves don't drink from cans (right?). WolfLordLars
Cans? No. Kegs? Most definitely. I could see a Wolf Guard trying to shotgun a keg of ale. In fact.... I might have to give that a try sometime (with one of those mini-kegs). I could see a tooth being used for that. Captain Malachi
Cans? No. Kegs? Most definitely. Oh good, if they had drunk from cans I'm afraid to say my respect for the wolves would have been diminished somewhat. WolfLordLars
Well, on campaign, you take what you can get. Nothing wrong with cans. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145515-wolves-and-their-fangs/#findComment-1687936 Share on other sites
Olmstedtr
i would actually hope they use barrels instead of kegs.... dont know why but even in a sci fi i just cant help but to see the wolves use barrels of ale.
