Space wolves vs blood angels

In the near future...(a date hasn't been set yet) I will be going against my friends blood angels army. He fields generally the same army everytime and uses the same tactics.... everygame. Apparently he found the list online because it won a tournament somewhere. Either way his army consists of...

 

2 squads of veterans with jump packs 5 guys each

 

1 squad of assault marines w jump packs 10 strong

 

death company led by chaplain usually between 7 to 10 strong with jump packs

 

2 potential tactical squads 10 each, missle launcher plasma cannon

 

1 heavy squad, 10 with usually a mixture of plasma cannons and missle launchers

 

1 ball predator

 

1 predator with 2 side sponsons las cannons and twin linked las cannon turret

 

1 dread with 2 close combat weapons (the blood angel one, i forget what its called)

 

Just curious what peeps think I should take in my list. I'm expecting him to get the jump on me but with counter attack being a mere leadership test, i'm pretty sure I can out fight him even in close combat.

 

I have a massive army, 5 to 6 k pts so I can basically field anything lol

Counter attack being what it is, you should do well with lots of grey hunters. Make sure you have an IC in each squad and a Wolf Guard leader in each after you run out of IC's. Maybe even double up. Don't field BC's or LF's. Probably be a waste. I'd field Scouts to operate behind enemy lines and do a little tank/devestator hunting. Probably field two dreads and some tanks of your own.

 

I'd also go mechanized not drop pod as he'll be able to overwhelm you if you have a lot of troops in reserve. The dreads may want to use drop pods to place them where they're needed most.
