Terminus Land Raider

I am Legion

Recommended Posts

Oh yeah, it's a Terminus. I'm going to make it so that I can switch it out for a regular LR for the smaller games. Anyway, here are a few pics. Oh and I know what you're going to say, and yeah I didn't have a better idea for the mechanicus logo.....sorry if I'm breaking some sort of copyright law, If you want me to change it, I will.

That's a very nice paint job. Thanks for sharing.

It's interesting to see how others go about assembling/painting their models. I tend to favor stability, and so I usually glue my hatches shut and have the entire thing assembled and primed before I start painting.

Thanks for all the nice comments people. Actually if you look carefully I rushed the entire interior, but it didn't turn out too badly. I figured no one's going to see it anyway.

I actually ran out of black primer when I started this model so I ended up doing it in stages seeing as how I couldn't get to the GW 3 days afterwards. And I need to airbrush some red for the outside piece, so I didn't attach them.

Than why the trouble? I couldn't care less if someone did the inside its a waste of time in my oppinion even though you have painted it nicely.

Well I have airbrushed some tamiya red instead of the traditional blood red like the rest of my tanks. I don't think the photo gives this rich colour any justice, but it is a wonderful colour for any blood angel players out there to use on their tanks. There is of course much more work to be done before it's finished but here it is. Also I drybrushed some gold over the treads but I don't like it. Any suggestions? I may paint the BA logo on the sides too.

Any other tips of what you'd like to see will be put into consideration.

Hi there, looking great so far!!

OK the tracks: They look good to me, just need some weathering. I would mix up a wash of either vermin fur, or bestial brown and paint it over the tracks, then, when dry, lightly dry brish with chain mail.

The gold exhausts and gun muzzles etc. OK to my eyes these just need a couple of highights and then some shading, I would go for a yellow/brown wash (maybe 3 light washes) to keep the gold strong and bright, but also give it some definition. And I agree that Tamiya red is a great colour, I used it on my Tau BFG fleet :>

Well the gold is on it's first layer, so there is no defenition to it yet.

Nurglepuss, I hear what you are saying, but I don't have any weathering on any of my tanks, but I'll see what I can do. As for the gold, I've never attempted what you are suggesting but I might try it out on a small part to see how it looks. I was actually going to go for the whole reflective gold look, with the bit of dark gold on the bottom, and bright on top. But I've never attempted that either, so if anyone knows how to do it please tell me. I actually havn't touched the tank in 2 weeks which is really bothering me, but hopefully I will get back to it this week.

Also should I stick a hunter killer on it, or just have the closed doors on it?
