Da Myth
hey coming out of retirement, figure i do a couple of models since i lost both my jobs and need to make some quick money [ hehehe ] My WIP Sons of The Loyal Thread - a band of Grey Knights Loyal To The Cause First, Justicar Malek http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/Dal-Ty/Hobby/Picture001.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/Dal-Ty/Hobby/Picture004.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/Dal-Ty/Hobby/Picture006.jpg ok if think there is more work on him that needs to be done, point it out please. and to answer all questions of curiosity [ Mostly the bitz pieces ] Head: Bretonian of couse Body: Black Templar Legs: Khorne with right knee pad filed off Right Arm: Grey Knight Right Arm Weapon: a random gun hand i cut off and with the help of a hangar made the pole. Yes that is a plasma gun that has been cut and drilled with a scope, now its a nice nifty storm bolter crafted to Malek's liking. The blades at the end are half cut spears of High Elf that i cut [ warning: i did not use an exacto knife, i found this nice fancy peeler knife in the kitchen that nobody uses. perfect cutting for slicing through plastics and no damage to fingers on dents into them if you mess up ] and yes that is an Urukai Head at the bottom, i have a ton of LOTR s**t that i was ignorant enough to buy and have not even played a single game of it including Warhammer and 40k, i just model paint and make list. Not that many players in Georgia ] Left Arm: Command Squad Left Shoulder: Dark Angels Backpack: Legion of the Damned Backpack With Bretonian shield on the back All comments are welcomed...... any more ideas as well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145761-sons-of-the-loyal/ Share on other sites
JetfireUK
It's a good start but I think that the griffon thing on top of the helmet makes the head a tad too top heavy. I think that it would look better without so much on top - you would also then see more detail on the front of the backpack as it's obsured at the moment. Nice use of Warhammer and LOTR bitz though. I would not have used, but i see what you mean. I will post the rest once they are finished getting there pine sol bath..... Da Myth
very nice, what arm pieces did you use so that he holds his halberd with two hands? Going to make a couple of those as well..... and i think i am cut the griffin off, but only on him to symbolize that he is still leader but has not been deemed true yet. Wolf89
OMG! I found something to do with my bretonnian's battle force sitting in my desk for years (no one wants to play all knight armies for some reason, and they think the green knight is cheese... please). I'd assume I'd have to either do =][=, BT's or at the most far fetched probably BA's (for grail knight standards the chalice reminds me of BA's). Great job, looks really cool.
