Razormind
I searched but could not find the answer to this. To summon a greater daemon, it says it must posess the body of a Champion, Sorcerer of Chaos, Chaos Lord, or Aspiring Sorcerer. By Champion, does this imply an Aspiring Champion as well, or not? I have been playing that it does not include an aspiring champion. Chaos marine players out there, can you clarify for me? HiveFleetEzekial
Didn't think Chaos *had* any other kinds of 'champions' for them to use as hosts. You certainly cannot just up and 'claim' an opponent SM's champion. Certainly not without some kind of opposed roll for it. Brother Gothard
Well, this is quite easy to figure out. Under RAW, since Chaos strictly has no "Champion" model, you may not use Aspiring Champions, Skull Champions, Plague Champions, etc, as hosts for a Summoned Greater Daemon. But it is also as clear as day, allowing a tiny bit of wiggle room under RAW, that the word "Champion" could very have been used as a stand-in for the various "X Champion" models in the Chaos Codex. Clearly, it is intended that an Aspiring Champion, and his Cult brothers, can be used to summon a Greater Daemon onto the table. Razormind
so, in a tournament, GT etc, aspiring champs can be used to summon greater daemons? Cool, that makes greater Daemons more of an option for me thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145913-greater-daemon-summoning/#findComment-1692804 Share on other sites
Brother Gothard
Yes, that's probably the case. But just to point out that under RAW you certainly cannot because there are no "Champion" models. But I doubt any GT judge will rule that you cannot use Aspiring Champions.
