Ahhh, but Inquisitors can take them in Apocalypse. I've only played with a warhound, but the Reaver seems to be to most cost-effective if tooled right (2 triple-barreled turbo-laser destructor on the arms and double-barreled turbo-laser destructor on top). More so now that blast all get to "go", even if they scatter... After all, it takes a lot of scatter to scatter of a baneblade or a hierophant.

Right, major wings of the Imperium's armed forces:

Adeptus Astartes: The Space Marines, genetically modified superhumans. Rapid Strike force, limited armour and no superheavies beyond the Thunderhawk Gunship, a support transport flyer.

Imperial Guard: Infantry, Lasguns, Tanks, Bigger Tanks, Huge Tanks. Do most of the fighting as there aren't enough Marines to go round ( :D honest!)

Imperial Navy: Spaceships. Those Orbital Bombardments.

In addition, there is the Inquisition, who often give orders or operate behind the scenes with these forces (their Chamber Militant do the actual fighting for them most of the time) and the Titan Legions of the Mechanicus; in size order: [Knights], Warhound, Reaver, Warlord, Imperator.

These forces are totally seperate as far as logistics and command go, but will often fight alongside each other for the Imperium.

Back to the question, the Reaver is the best, the Warhound is a LOT more practical.
