Ant
Not the best pictures, considering you can see one of the staff's arses through the window but it was a little crowded and i was rushed, wasn't the best camera either :) Enjoy. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e63/Iorekspics/DSC00022.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e63/Iorekspics/DSC00023.jpg You may recognise the guy with the lightning claws leading the squad, the guy who looks like a wulfen from a thread from Bell of Lost souls. It was a resin model on there. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e63/Iorekspics/DSC00024.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/ Share on other sites
Wolf89
That wolf guard doesn't have mark of wulfen, they cannot lead troops and have to be alone (unless it's 13th co. which this isn't because there is vehicles). The pictures are a bit blurry, and I don't appreciate seeing people's behinds in my photos! :o There is already posts about the 2 models btw. Ant
i just assumed he was leading them by the way he was positioned with the squad :o easy mistake to make. Wolf89
i just assumed he was leading them by the way he was positioned with the squad  easy mistake to make. Pavement Artist
Another way of looking at it is...It's a display cabinet and not a gaming table  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/#findComment-1693743 Share on other sites
Lord_Caldera
Anybody else notice that the bearded Termie heads are not currently on the upgrade sprue or any model or the FW torsos? New sprue sometime soon?? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/#findComment-1693781 Share on other sites
MaveriK
Anybody else notice that the bearded Termie heads are not currently on the upgrade sprue or any model or the FW torsos? New sprue sometime soon?? those heads are from Warhammer Fantasy. Anyway, I'd like to take a closer look at the Wolf Scouts. From what I can tell there is an old 2nd Edition Wolf Scout Sergeant with them  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/#findComment-1693787 Share on other sites
Marek Grimfang
I think they are Flagellant heads. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/#findComment-1693827 Share on other sites
Megalodon
Anyway, I'd like to take a closer look at the Wolf Scouts. From what I can tell there is an old 2nd Edition Wolf Scout Sergeant with them :D There are actually two of the old Wolf scout sergeants in there. Very Kool! Did anyone else notice that they are in actual grey armor? Even Kooler! Mr. Danvers
I was pleased to see a fair amount of SW stuff at GD08. And it all being a nice codex grey-ish colour as well. Can't stand that blue colour myself... The huge display board with titans was great to see, but the painting standard of the models wasn't the best I've seen. Some of them (mostly the WG and ICs) were painted really well, but the normal marines looked like they'd been whipped up at about 4am that morning by slaving GW staff armed with nothing more than a standard brush and some paint. The models in the display cases were ace though. I've got some pictures from the displays and Golden Demon entries that I'll post up when I get back home. Ant
Indeed, i would love to know if this model is available when the codex is coming out after Christmas sometime (that gem of information was confirmed today by someone who shall remain unnamed, along with the fact that at GW have a codex for us and are testing it as we speak, Wulfen with Rending, furious charge, and fleet etc. etc. :) I lie not my brothers, it is the truth i speak, its only a matter of time). Like i said under the picture, it was a resin model. I saw it on a thread on the belloflostsouls blogspot a few months ago with another SW model with wolftails etc. aiming a boltgun. The God Emperor
Ant, if you are lying. I swear I will buy a plane ticket and come over to England to thrash you, Haegr's style. :P If what you are saying is true, we will have awesome Wulfens. May you reveal what this person do? e.g. GW store manager (I find them very reliable). Now off you go and get more information out of that very same source. See if you can confirm my fears and hopes. Grimmwulf
Sounds almost too good to be true. But it would fit in line with the new drop pods having sw icons. I guess gw would not put those on the pods if they would not intend to get out new wolfs anytime soon. They could instead have put codex icons in the box. They have an icon for the 4 biggies (SW, DA, BA, and BT) it's not saying we'll get SW stuff soon, just that GW still thinks about us? ;) If what Ant says is true (I've been thinking for a bit it's necrons next, then SW, then dark eldar if not then necrons, IG, DE, SW) especially about the wulfen, I'll have a nice transaction from my 13th company to my Space Wolves... Now to get my buddy's special catalog to buy those wulfen models! Marek Grimfang
I want to sticky "Ants" post and hold him accountable once Christmas comes and goes and there is no new Codex. information was confirmed today by someone who shall remain unnamed Thats the usual thing said by those who are not in the know. Or by those just posting their own misgivings. I am, and have been, personal friends with two of the top five corproate employees of GW Canada for nigh over 20 years. They were with the grass roots GW Canada when they frst came here and opened their Queen Street Toronto Store in the late 80's. The SW Codex is so far away, right now it is like chasing a rainbow to grab the pot of gold. Anything else said without a concrete name of an actual employee is just fooling everyone. The special edition SW mini's will be available through Direct Services in the next little while. My contacts at the german HQ told me SW are not on the horizon until 3 quarter 2009. In May C:IG will be redone. So you can say earliest possible date would be June/July 2009. I'll just repost this from the GDUK thread, as this was my experience. C:SW was noticable only for the deafening silence any questions about it got. None of the design or WD team would be drawn to confirm or deny it. A chap doing Tempestus Fugitives said it would be "Soon. A lot, lot sooner than you think. Trust me msn-wink.gif " I also spoke to the sculpters about new minis... he said he couldn't possibly say. I really don't know what to think about this any more... either it's GW's greatest secret or we're just being royally screwed over.
