WolfScout
I want to sticky "Ants" post and hold him accountable once Christmas comes and goes and there is no new Codex. information was confirmed today by someone who shall remain unnamed Thats the usual thing said by those who are not in the know. Or by those just posting their own misgivings. I am, and have been, personal friends with two of the top five corproate employees of GW Canada for nigh over 20 years. They were with the grass roots GW Canada when they frst came here and opened their Queen Street Toronto Store in the late 80's. The SW Codex is so far away, right now it is like chasing a rainbow to grab the pot of gold. Anything else said without a concrete name of an actual employee is just fooling everyone. The special edition SW mini's will be available through Direct Services in the next little while. Something i can confirm. My contacts at the german HQ told me SW are not on the horizon until 3 quarter 2009. In May C:IG will be redone. So you can say earliest possible date would be June/July 2009. I'll just repost this from the GDUK thread, as this was my experience. C:SW was noticable only for the deafening silence any questions about it got. None of the design or WD team would be drawn to confirm or deny it. A chap doing Tempestus Fugitives said it would be "Soon. A lot, lot sooner than you think. Trust me msn-wink.gif " I also spoke to the sculpters about new minis... he said he couldn't possibly say. I really don't know what to think about this any more... either it's GW's greatest secret or we're just being royally screwed over. Most of what I heard too. I talked to both Phil Kelly (the author) and Jes Goodwin and all they could say is it was "on the horizon" and I'll be very happy very soon. I honestly think it won't be until Summer at the earliest. There is NO WAY there will be a C:SW for christmas Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/page/3/#findComment-1719483 Share on other sites

Wolf Guard Hengist
<Hengist reads the ancient Rune of Thread-No-Mancy> I'll apologise in advance for the Thread necromancy and I'll take any bollockings square on the chin, but theres a couple of things I want to discuss. 1) I reckon we need to show off these pics again. 2) I've taken this army as inspiration for the new army I'm working on but when I study these pics I cant make my mind up as to what Grey their power armour is. I think its too dark for Codex grey and I'm leaning towards the new Adeptus Battlegrey foundation paint. Any suggestions? <Swigs his ale and gets ready for the crusty old Rune Priests to start> Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/146081-spacewolf-showcase/page/3/#findComment-1840511 Share on other sites
Tyrannicide
Wow. :o I think these deserve threadomancy too, seeing as I hadn't caught sight of these before. That's one awesome Space Wolves army and definitely an inspiration! Vash113
Thread necromancy is alright if you have a VERY good reason... which IMO showing off a good wolfy army is a very good reason. As for the grey... I have no idea. It might be shadow grey over a black primer and then washed. Ullr Direfang
2) I've taken this army as inspiration for the new army I'm working on but when I study these pics I cant make my mind up as to what Grey their power armour is. I think its too dark for Codex grey and I'm leaning towards the new Adeptus Battlegrey foundation paint. Any suggestions? it kinda looks like the Adeptus Battlegrey, i am using it on my wolves, if i can find a camera before i get my LPC models to "WIP 2", then i will try to post some to try and compare. Wolf Guard Hengist
I'm gonna get myself a telling off for this as its the second time I have necro'd this thread but I noticed that it is featured in this months White Dwarf and will have a full feature next issue. PS its still an awesome army. EDIT :- Yes I've just realised the bad timing of this as some are waiting for GDUK 09 pics, sorry about that. Yeti
Anybody else find it peculiar that there were more Space Wolves on display at last years GD than this years?
